Two Red Labs

We give NaturVet Joint Health Level 1 to our two Fox Red Labs. They are 80# (8 years) and 70# (5 years). I think it is a good supplement, especially for their large bone size. Hopefully, they won't ever get damage from their crazy, active ways, and if they do, I will increase the amount I give.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Dogs takes it without a problem

Stumpy Heeler Mom

Purchased this to be proactive about my dog’s health. She’s a stumpy Heeler we picked up from the shelter, almost 2 years old. She’s a jumper! We want to make sure her kangaroo instincts don’t wear her down too much over time. The smell is pretty calm, compared to most dog products. My dog takes it daily “as a treat” and she always finishes it up quickly without concern.

Yes, I recommend this product.

It Works

We use this for our five year old English Mastiff. I think you’re supposed to go up in levels as your dog ages, but we have not and IT WORKS. To my surprise, our dog had a limp and we did what the recommendation said (double the amount the first so many weeks-something of the sort) and her limp went away. Once we had our son we completely forgot about her joint medicine. She started having a liml again after playing and we started her joint medicine again and no limp. I truly think it’s the best joint healthcare for dogs!

Yes, I recommend this product.

We started my young rottweiler rescue on this to hopefully prevent joint issues down the road. He eats it happily and it's very reasonably priced!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Dog wouldn't eat it

We tried the joint health soft chews which come in a smaller package first to see if they helped. Those did, and my dog LOVES them. These, however, are NOT soft chews. The description/package says "time-release," but I had no indication that they'd be so different from what we'd already tried. They are chalky disks, and my dog hated them. She tried one the first day but chewed it up and spat it out. After that, she wouldn't even go near her food bowl until we took it out of the dish. I can't seem to find a larger package of the Level 1 soft chews though...

No, I do not recommend this product.

Dog hates it

Usually my dog goes for anything that looks like a treat. Not this. And when he finally did try to eat one he started coughing it up. It doesn’t even smell good to her since I put a couple in her dog dish on another day and she wouldn’t eat her food all day.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Didn’t want to eat it & upset stomach.

We had to trick our dog to get him to eat the vitamin (usually he inhales everything) & he had diarrhea every day he took it. I thought it might be unrelated, but the second we stopped giving it to him, he went right back to normal.

No, I do not recommend this product.

What are the globally sourced ingred's and where are they sourced from?.

  1. Sometimes ingredients are sourced from other countries such as China. In the case of joint supplement ingredients, those are intended for human consumption and the FDA has three entities in China monitoring those ingredients. Most all B and C vitamins’ for human consumption are coming from China. Every ingredient that comes into our facility is accompanied by a Certificate of Analysis from our American Supplier which means it is guaranteed in certain requirements and has been tested by them for micobes, lead content, salmonella etc. We also have an in- house Lab that additionally test raw ingredients for issues like salmonella before it is made into a product. Once made, finished products for your pet are held until a retention sample is tested once again and released by our Quality Control Department. We are an FDA and NASC audited manufacturing facility which means that our finished products are routinely rotated to a third party independent lab that performs an analysis to insure that what we have listed on the label is a correct representations of what is inside. Reminder: Globally sourcing ingredients is very different from sourcing finished products from outside the US. This is not about costs, it is more about where the source of that preferred ingredient happens to be located. Some happen to be located in China.

what are the differences in the levels in the suppliments?

  1. Thank you for inquiring about the levels of our Joint supplements. The differences in our levels is dictated by higher milligrams and additional ingredients. You can visit our website at www.naturvet.com to review the ingredients in deciding which level is best for your pet.
