Switched to Blue Buffalo

elucidator

I have fed my dogs Nature's Recipe for at least 15 years. At least 5 dogs. I was happy. Now, I feed Blue Buffalo. Why? Deception! How dare you change the ingredients and do NOTHING to alert your loyal users to this fact. I could not figure out why my dog started picking at his food. I will gladly pay more for pure ingredients and HONESTY. How can you change the formula and still call it by the same name? Hunter loves his Blue Buffalo!

No, I do not recommend this product.

I was unable to find the food my dog has been on anywhere. Petco was the only source and had it at the store. I had to order online which actually offered me a $10 off a $50 purchase so I bought 2 bags and at a great savings.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Love the food. It is the only food my dog will eat. I am not happy that they changed the packaging, reduced the size, and raised the price.

Now contains chicken meal

I've been buying this food for years, and I found it to be a very good product. My dog liked it; it was affordable; it didn't contain junk; and the protein was only lamb. But they just changed the recipe to add chicken meal. My dog is allergic to chicken. I am shocked we weren't alerted. Now, I need to find another dog food.

No, I do not recommend this product.

After years of our dog loving this food they changed the formula and he refused to eat it. Found many owners online with the same problem. Very disappointed and using a new brand.

No, I do not recommend this product.

why did they add chicken meal to this? I was told to feed my dog lamb because of allergies and now they changed it

  1. Thank you for your question. Chicken meal is exclusively muscle protein and bone from the chicken, which is cooked, dehydrated, then ground into a meal form. This ingredient provides pets with a more concentrated form of protein. As always, we recommend that you consult with your veterinarian if you suspect your pet may have a food allergy or sensitivity to a certain ingredient.
