What diet should I give to my birds (COCKATIEL) . Pls recommend something other than Pellets as it is not available in my location . I can offer it seed mix, fruits and vegetables and many other food. Pls advice me on what I should feed my cockatiel .
My cockatiel has been eating Leferber’s Premium Daily Diet pellets as a staple diet. She’s also been eating broccoli everyday. I also give her a bit of crushed eggshells once or twice a week. She has a cuttlebone available at all times. I’m wondering if this would be an okay product to give her? She isn’t much of a veggie eater. Will this be beneficial or unnecessary for her? I’m including the details of the product in attached photos. I do feed her some seeds as a treat sometimes. Thank you.
List of the best bird foods for parakeets
Hi! I recently got a little baby parakeet. So far, she’s been doing very well; it’s been a little over a month. However, instead of eating all of her seed mixture, I think she just picks through & eats her favorites because there are a lot of remnants at the bottom of her cage that are uneaten. She eats kaytee Fiesta seed mix. Should I change it? Add something else? Or what what I incorporate in her diet to make sheets she’s getting what she needs? She’s tried apple so far.
I have 2 parakeets and I have been feeding them seeds and millet. I believe that what I am currently feeding them is not nutritious. I am currently training them to eat fruit and vegetables and to be hand tamed. I would like to know what food can I buy for them so they can eat nutritious and I can take my time training them.
-Cockatiel question- Should I give a cockatiel grit? Can you give me a list of fresh fruit and veggies to put in with the pellets and seeds for a daily diet? How much food should I give a cockatiel? Should I offer insects? Should I give two bowls of water? A small one to drink out of and a bigger one to bathe in? Should I give just tap water? Thanks! (I want to get a cockatiel and just want to know these question. I think I know everything else)
Hi, i have 2 new young cockatiels and we have to travel for around 4 nights and i want to leave them enough food, so i was wondering if it is okay to leave them homemade dried fruits, sunflower seeds and phalaris (canary seeds)? If dried fruits are okay, which fruits should i make for them? thanks in advance.
How do I get my cockatiel to eat other foods other than seeds she is still young and I feel her health could deteriorate. Pls help because I tried everything.
What kind of vegetables and fruits can i feed budgies? Also how am i supposed to make them eat different fruits since they haven't been exposed to anything except seeds
My budgie peko don’t eat veggies or any fruits how to give them when I give they fly away from that part of cage and don’t come back till it is not taken out how to give pls tell any tips thank you
We're wondering if there's anything we can do to improve her diet. Right now she is eating pellets (Zupreem, converting to Zupreem naturals), seeds, and we offer veggies every day despite her never really finishing them. We're now grinding up a Tums onto the food every day, as she was egg bound recently. We get 30-60 mins of time outside a day when possible, for sunlight. Any suggestions, or does this look fine? Thanks.
Hi, I have 2 parakeets, Cookie and Pickle, one a fancy parakeet, and one a green parakeet. They have been with me for almost two weeks, and the problem is, I can't get them to eat fruits and veggies. I can hand feed them and get them on my finger, but they won't eat any fruits and veggies. I've also tried putting it in their food bowl, which also doesn't work. Do you have any ideas?
