Bird treats provide extra nutrition to your bird’s balanced diet and are a great tool when training and bonding with your bird. Bird treats come in many forms such as sticks, berries and toppers. These treats are composed of a variety of nutritional ingredients with many popular ones being seed, fruit and mineral based. Variation in diet is not only essential for your bird's overall health, but will keep your bird happy and mentally stimulated. Some treats may also be formulated to help your bird groom their beak or encourage natural behaviors such as foraging. As part of a balanced diet, treats should not exceed 10% of your bird's daily diet.
Bird treats should be species appropriate in size and ingredients for your pet. Some treats may include fruits, seeds, greens, mineral cakes or other tasty ingredients. Taste preference will vary from bird to bird. An assortment of species-appropriate treats will always be your best option to discover what your bird likes best.
Treats can be given daily in small amounts, but should not exceed 10% of their total diet. It is useful to save treating your bird for when you are socializing or training your bird so that they associate that yummy goodness with you.
Just like us, your bird will appreciate variety in their diet. Some treats are designed to help encourage your bird's natural need to forage while others may help keep their beak trimmed or promote bonding and training your feathered friend.

Can you name some very exciting treats for birds? I've been trying to connect with my bird for a while now, I've had him for two months, but he still doesn't trust me. I was hoping to get him to like me with some treats.
What training treats should I give chewy
Is there a good high calorie supplement, vitamin or food that I can offer my seed junkie parakeet? She scored a poor body condition, was described as thin at her exam. Currently taking Metacam for an ouchy foot.
What is the best brand for training treats for my dog?
How would you know what type of food is best for your Budgie? Also what should I always keep a millet stick in their cage?
Can I feed Jasper Gerbers puffs as treats? (Banana flavored) I've been snacking on them myself and he seems to like them.
So the bird food had a lot of mouse droplets in it even in the bag I didn't expect it at all and now as you see in the picture they are waiting for their food I have to go get some but that will take some time how long can they without food i can give them slices of oranges can i feed them that?
Hi, i have 2 new young cockatiels and we have to travel for around 4 nights and i want to leave them enough food, so i was wondering if it is okay to leave them homemade dried fruits, sunflower seeds and phalaris (canary seeds)? If dried fruits are okay, which fruits should i make for them? thanks in advance.
What toys are the best for parakeets
Sara is not very toy or praise oriented. What are your favorite lowish value and super high value treats? *for training. I love pig ears to but I can only do them once in a while because my dogs make a huge mess out of the house
My cockatiel has been eating Leferber’s Premium Daily Diet pellets as a staple diet. She’s also been eating broccoli everyday. I also give her a bit of crushed eggshells once or twice a week. She has a cuttlebone available at all times. I’m wondering if this would be an okay product to give her? She isn’t much of a veggie eater. Will this be beneficial or unnecessary for her? I’m including the details of the product in attached photos. I do feed her some seeds as a treat sometimes. Thank you.
How do I know if my bird is eating enough
