A clean dog is a happy dog. Regular and proper grooming is an essential part of maintaining the well-being of your pet. From routine brushings to full-body baths, grooming helps your dog’s skin and coat stay in good shape while also keeping them comfortable. And a dog grooming table can be an excellent tool to make you feel like a professional groomer at home or get set up for your dog grooming business.
This all depends on the size of the dog you have, but many pet parents need anywhere from a 24 inch to 48 inch long grooming table. Of course, large breed dogs like a Labrador Retriever or a German Shepherd need a space to fit their body and hold their weight. Smaller breeds like Beagles and Chihuahuas don’t need nearly as much space or support. Browse Petco’s wide selection, including both large dog grooming tables and small dog grooming tables to find the right fit.
Each dog is different, with different dispositions and personalities. Take notice of how your dog reacts to water and if they can sit still for any amount of time while being brushed. Round out your grooming kit with towels and hair clippers. With a dog grooming table arm and all the trimmings, you’ll be ready to spiff up your pup in no time. Check out our Dog Grooming Tips for Pet Parents to learn more.
With positive reinforcement and ample training, even the big dogs can be supported by a properly sized grooming table. Make sure to contact your veterinarian with any questions if you aren't sure about your dog's comfort level on a grooming table.

Have a spunky new rescue chihuahua mix and she is skittish. So much so she will resist any efforts to trim her nails. We have 4 dogs so I have trimmed nails hundreds of times--but with Ricki Ricardo, no luck. I sit on the floor and flip them over and cradle them between my legs. My wife distracts them with peanut butter on a spoon. Besides going to a groomer or vet, any ideas? I thought maybe a groomer table might help. Are there premium nail cutters of higher quality than store bought?
Need gromming store for my cat
Hello! I'm looking for an inexpensive set of clippers for Mia. She has, what seems like, a double coat of hair now and since I don't have the means to take her to a groomer right now, I want to give her a nice trim since it's getting warmer, and because I want to be able to see any potential bugs that try to go on her. Any suggestions? That is her right now. Thank you in advance! Stay safe and healthy!
Does Petco allow muzzles for grooming?
We have a 10 yr old BIG cat (23 lbs) who is in need of major grooming. He has thick clumps all over his back. Because of his size, he can't reach them. It's a big job, but the cat is very gentle. Is this a possibility for one of your cat groomers?
What is a safe hair gel for my dog
We brought our dog to the groomer and we noticed a bump we're concerned about
My tiny male yorkies wont let any groomer or myself near his face or paws to trim his hair. He has curly hair and it grows down into his eyes and up into his mouth and sometimes his paws are out of control.....any suggestions on what I can do to get him to allow this besides taking him to the vet to have him put to sleep for the grooming?? he also wont let you clip his nails either.
Having friend groom my foster yorkie. I have been sheltering in place since March and concerned about contact from outside. I am going to shampoo dog, groomer is just going to give dog a serious cut. I plan to reshampoo dog with some antibacterial dog shampoo when she finishes. Are there any other precautions I should take. Dog and groomer will be in garage for the service. Safe distance will be maintainefd
My dog is old now and has hip issues that require we help her up. I'm looking into harnesses to make both our lives easier but am not sure which style would be more comfortable and less damaging. I can only get a few styles in my country (attaching pics) and they all look painful to me. Which of these would be best? Or would any or none be a good choice? Would one wrapping around her legs be better than one wrapping around her belly? Thanks!
My dog has really bad fleas, to the point where I can't groom himself because I know he needs a professional to get them all off. Do you recommend if i take him to a vet to get groomed and fixed p?
I have a reactive dog. She can be selective with people, the times I have taken her to the vet she’s been ok with the handlers there. But she’s goes crazy when she sees other dogs. Ive always done her grooming myself, but she doesn’t let me do her nails. I want to take her to a groomer to get them done but I’m also considering just taking her to a vet for nail trims because I think it would be easier perhaps. which choice seems like the best route ?
