Relaxing on the couch with your dog can be one of the best ways to pass the day, but between paws and fur, your furniture might show signs of wear. Even if your pet doesn’t mean to cause harm, they can leave behind fur, stains and unpleasant odors on your furniture. The solution? Dog furniture protection from Petco can make it possible for your dog to lounge all day long without sacrificing your expensive furniture. It can also be an excellent solution if you’ll be out for the day or for when you have a pet sitter coming over.
Dogs are drawn to your big, comfy couch, especially if you and other members of your family are sitting on it. However, your pet can also bring along lots of dog hair with them as well as whatever mud or dirt they picked up on their most recent walk.
Furniture pet protection covers can be a good option. They come in different forms and sizes. Partial covers will cover a section of your couch, which you can designate as your dog’s couch area. You can also find waterproof pet furniture protectors that can shield your furniture from puppy accidents or drool.
Purchasing a pet furniture protector might not be enough to keep your pet from damaging your furniture. If you buy a partial cover, you’ll need to train your dog to only use that section of the couch. Placing dog toys on that portion of the couch can attract your dog. Another good option is to place dog beds and bedding on that portion of the couch so your dog can feel extra comfortable.
The best furniture pet protection cover will depend on your dog’s behaviors and what issues bother you the most. Is your dog a heavy shedder? Then look for a pet hair furniture protection product. Does your pet have accidents on the furniture? A pet furniture protector that is waterproof will be ideal in this situation.
When shopping for dog furniture protection, you’ll also want to find a product that matches your existing décor and color scheme so that it blends in with the rest of your room. Fortunately, Petco offers a great variety of furniture protectors in different colors, sizes and styles.
While shopping for furniture protection, consider our grooming and bathing products as well. Brushing and washing your dog regularly can help prevent smells, stains and fur from ending up on your furniture in the first place.

My dog is old and has had several bad falls now on our laminate and tile floors. She just needs some traction to prevent her from slipping. There are many dog boots out there for hiking and what not. They seem like they would help her from slipping on the floor. Could she wear boots like that 24/7? Or at least most of the day? I could also buy a paw cream as well to prevent bad rubbing. Do you know of any boots specifically made for constant use? Or any other products she could benefit from?
Hello, I have a 7 year old black lab. He's a big boy who gets very hot in warm weather so likes to lie on the coolest surface he can find which is always hard. Consequently, he has callouses on his elbows but they have become a lot bigger this year and one of them looks sore. I just wondered what Ii could do to alleviate this problem. Is there a spray or some product which could help? Thank you.Judith Burke

How can I help my dog with his arthritis
I have a 4 month old female chihuahua and she eats her own poo. She is not house trained as of yet as it’s very hard with her. She will come up to my bed and pee on it. My couches and Bedding reeks of pee and I need help to stop it, sometimes she will lick her own pee when she pees on my bed.
My dog chews on almost everything. We have tried crate training but that doesn’t appear to be working. She has destroyed so much that my partner is ready to throw her out. Any suggestions on how to curb her habit before they throw her out?

My cats chew and shred paper and cardboard incessantly. Help!
My dog was in the same room while painting wood with oil for wood, so I right now readed that fumes can harm dogs, can they really? If would harm her would symtoms be instant?
I moved to a new place, it's a new house and environment so I am certain it's parvo free, but my dog likes to play in the sand which is covered everywhere and there's nothing I can do if I don't want to restrict her, what should I do and is the sand harmful to her?
Hi there, the question is about my dog. Recently she has been licking herself a lot more than usual, for extended periods of time (she isn’t not in season) and appears to be having some accidents. What I mean is she has never urinated on any furniture (beds, sofas nothing), we had no trouble training her, but now she appears to be having accidents on the bed or sofa and it seems like she’s almost shocked at herself after she realises.
Have a spunky new rescue chihuahua mix and she is skittish. So much so she will resist any efforts to trim her nails. We have 4 dogs so I have trimmed nails hundreds of times--but with Ricki Ricardo, no luck. I sit on the floor and flip them over and cradle them between my legs. My wife distracts them with peanut butter on a spoon. Besides going to a groomer or vet, any ideas? I thought maybe a groomer table might help. Are there premium nail cutters of higher quality than store bought?
