Is a blood panel recommended when a dog reaches a certain age? I have a 9 year old dog, mixed breed, approx. 40 lbs.
If I wanted to get his liver and kidneys checked do I have to do an entire blood panel?
Hello, could you assist with my "probably" dumb question,,, our puppies, 7-8 months old, we are planning to have them neutered,,, should we be concern ? reason, their mom, has possible liver and kidney problem, which we found out from blood panel collection and check, that there might be a problem. .. so in lieu of their mom problem, is liver & kidney a hereditary problem ? we are planning to have the puppies neutered, and to save money, we are planning to avoid the blood panel check,
Hello, so my dog Otis has had this lump form on his tail. It only appeard a few days ago . I did not notice it until it started bleeding because he was biting at it. I am unsure if it is a tumor, a abscess or possibly a wart. It’s not warm but he doesn’t really let me touch it and it’s extremly hard to clean. Any help, advice or wisdom on this would be greatly appreciated !
I am taking my cat to the vet for CKD testing. He has a high level for creatinine from the full blood panel. Are there any holistic supplements for kidney health?
What are the recommended vet tests for a dog with repeated bouts of diarrhea? Last time it took 10 days of rice & chicken, probiotics and antibiotics for the diarrhea to get better, a week later it's back. Other than stool sample and blood panel, what else is recommended? Thank you.
My cat Pocky (healthy, 4 yrs old) has had frequent diarrhea all day and yesterday. It dribbles and seems to just fall out of her and then she seems surprised and licks it up. She acts normal but tonight she seems sick, she is lethargic, and her third eyelids are showing. She has brought me 3 mice this week, I'm concerned she might have eaten a poisoned one or got a disease. I am going to call the vet first thing in the morning. Is this an emergency? Any advice or wisdom? Thanks, kati
Took my 10 year old lab to vet to figure out why he is coughing, gaging and choking. Vet predicts debartk laryngeal paralysis. I agree. Paid cash $374.13 for meds Previcox 227 and Prescrived CMetibolic + Mobility 24lb bag Senior Panel Blood Test results were great. My question concerns the follow up, estimated to cost $388.74. No more cash. 10 year old lab still suffering, Any solutions?
My dog is older, he's almost 12. Lately he has been showing signs of confusion and aggression. Not towards the family, but our other pets. He growls anytime he is touched. Our vet had done a "senior panel" and assured us he's healthy, but these psychological symptoms make me think otherwise.
My elder cat (14 yrs) has bloody, very smelly stool and vomits frequently ( like clear, foamy spittle mostly) My vet did a Senior panel and didn't find anything in the way of Hypothyroidism, but gave us medicine that didn't do anything at all that changed his bm. Any suggestions?
Our 11 year old male, neutered Frenchie has two swollen lymph nodes(neck). He’s as energetic as usual (which is to say, not very). He’s drinking more water, appetite is normal (good). His blood panel just came back normal. We went ahead with a needle aspiration, just in case. Ideas of what to expect?
