my 6-7 week half moon conure is gonna start needing adult food any advice on what kind and brand is the best?
A commercial pelleted diet is most convenient and typically provides more complete nutrition. Recommended brands include Harrison's and LaFeber. A seed mix can be offered as well but limit amounts to prevent obesity. Fresh fruits and vegetables can also be offered. A simple search online will yield lists of acceptable fruits and vegetables.

AT this age, he should be weaning. Begin introducing a pelleted diet, about 1/4 cup daily to start. Harrison's, Roudybush, Lafeber or Pretty Bird are excellent brands. You may still need to provide supplemental feedings. Monitor his weight closely. You can also offer fresh greens and vegetables as well as a seed mix such as NutriBerries.

Hello I have a green check conure and she's been having wet sneezes for about 6months (I took her to the vet twice when it first started and they said she seemed fine) also I've noticed some of her poop be really dark also I'm not sure if she's tail
Have her rechecked by your veterinarian or by an experienced avian vet. You can find one here: http://www.aav.org/search/custom.asp?id=1803 Do this sooner rather than later, since by the time a bird is symptomatic, it is usually quite ill. The vet may submit a swab from the mouth for culture and sensitivity. This may identify any infection causing bacteria as well as the most effective antibiotic to use in treatment. Blood work may be submitted to assess major organ function. Do not worry, only a small sample is needed. A stool sample should also be submitted to diagnose intestinal parasites or bacterial overgrowth. In the meantime, clean and sanitize her cage, bowls, toys and perches. Discard anything that cannot be sanitized. Use paper towels on the cage bottom and change them daily. A grate should be used to prevent her from reaching her droppings or fallen food that could be contaminated. Survey the area around her cage for any cold drafts or other negative stimuli. If you use
