Thanks for reaching out about Pixie and including a photo. Parakeets are generally light enough to survive on on foot but perches need to be established to allow a grip well. Flat platforms can also be used to rest the foot. If a wire bottom cage, a soft towel on the bottom with food and water bowls within reach. Good luck.

Thanks for reaching out. Sound like you have a full house. 1. Birds will often bond together but continue to work with them in a quiet environ, offering treats to win and re-enforce trust. Toys, the radio or tv, can all assist with boredom. Setting up foraging toys so birds need to spend time looking for food. 2. There is no such thing as too big a cage. 3. Heating rocks are rarely approved for use, as they will eventually become faulty and get too hot, potentially damaging the animal. A heat lamp is recommended. 4. The bunny's litter box should be spot cleaned daily and full clean weekly. If you can smell it you waited too long. Good luck.

Keep an eye on her. If she will allow, you can clean it daily with a mild antiseptic cleanser. Provide perches of different shapes, textures and thicknesses to condition her feet. Having only round perches of one size can lead to sores on the feet and overgrown nails.

Hi there! Thanks for using Boop by Petco. It can be normal for birds to lean on food bowls, toys, or their cage walls while asleep. I would not be concerned unless the leaning continues while he is awake. Examples of this would be tilting his head to one side while walking or circling in one direction. If he is acting normally otherwise, he is likely just getting comfortable. I hope this helps!

Cute budgies! If Pluto likes to be out and about, adding in a cage-top or table-top activity center (most pet stores and online retailers carry them) may be a good idea. These often have spots for additional perches, toys, etc that can help Pluto interact and play and have some fun (and give Joy more space to rest and relax if she needs). If both birds are housed together, making sure to place in additional food, water and resting spots for each bird can also help prevent competition over these resources and may give Joy some more places to rest and relax without being bothered. Adding in hanging or preening toys between perches can also help break up the cage into more sections, and provide entertainment and fun to get out extra energy. Budgies are also great at bonding with people, so working with Pluto to teach him to perch on you or talk may also help enrich his world and get out that energy!
