I bought this for my bird who is incredibly picky and scared of new things. He also very much needs to chew on so.rthing to maintain his beak but he won't chew on anything. HE LOVES IT! For the first time ever he has used a new toy within the first week. Still waiting on him to chew on it but it's only been a week!

My parakeets absolutely love these to tear apart! The only downfall is they throw the wood pieces out of the cage, and onto the floor. So maybe attaching it to the center of the cage is a good idea. Petco is the cheapest I’ve found them. Happy to have found such a good deal! I’ll definitely be back for more.

Is this product safe for green cheek conures?

My parakeets love them! I’m sure they would be safe for your green cheek conures. They can be messy, as my parakeets dump the wood from the insides out the cage. They don’t eat the wood, just love to chew it. After they’re hollowed out, they like to lay inside them. For my birds, they’re a real treat! Another bonus, they’ll almost half the price of other stores, so I stocked up.

I see in most of the reviews, females are taking to this toy. Would my male parakeet behave the same way? Seems like a nesting behavior & im a new bird mom I don’t know if boy birds do this! Thanks to anyone who answers!
