I really like Virbac's line of dermatologic products, and their Epi-Otic is a great all-purpose ear cleanser for dogs. It is available over the counter, and you can order it from DrsFosterandSmith.com or Amazon.

I really like the Douxo Micellar Solution. It is great at breaking up waxy debris in the ears, it is gentle, and safe if the eardrum is not intact. Here is the link to purchase it on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00G3DN3ZW/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1515718924&sr=8-1&keywords=douxo+micellar+solution&dpPl=1&dpID=318m8cDzvCL&ref=plSrch Thank you for using Boop by Petco!

There are lots of ear cleaners for dogs on the market, so you definitely have a number of different choices :) My favorite preventative cleaner for dogs who are prone to yeast infections is MalAcetic Otic Cleanser - it's a good cleaning and drying agent, and keeps the pH low to make the ear canal less inviting for yeast and bacteria. You should be able to find it (or something similar) online from most pet retailers.

Hi there. No, you need to use an ear flush that is designed especially for ears - a regular antiseptic spray like Vetericyn will not dry as quickly, and may contain ingredients that aren’t safe for the ear drum. Epi-Otic and MalAcetic are both good options for routine ear cleaning that are available over-the-counter. Recurring ear infections are usually due to an underlying allergy problem, so I would recommend talking to your veterinarian about options for further work-up and treatment to help keep this from happening so often.

Unfortunately effective ear drops are on prescription, but your vet could do more than one prescription so you can buy them online. The combination of Canaural (with medication) and Sancerum (it is not on prescription and used only for ear cleaning) would be a good first line treatment. Aurizon or Otomax (instead of the Canaural) are more specific products, more indicated for resistant and more difficult cases. Aurizon, Otomax and Canaural can be used for a week each time. Sancerum can be used for routine ears cleaning.
