Terramycin or Tobramycin probably would be the best thing to use in the eye. In the meantime you can use the eye drops you already have to keep the eye lubricated and more comfortable. https://worldtails.securevetsource.com/itemView/view/198944_HomeDelivery.pml?productId=110533 You should also consider putting her on a lysine supplement. Typically when they have an eye that looks like that it is due to a recurrent herpes virus and lysine helps to boost the immune system. https://worldtails.securevetsource.com/site/view/198944_HomeDelivery.pml?s=lysine&hierarchy=&sort=score%20desc Hope this helps. That would likely be safe as long as the ear drum is normal. Sometimes infections if the ear can cause the ear drum to tear. EpiOtic ear cleaner is another option that is safe and should be ok even if the ear drum is slightly damaged.

You can certainly use saline solution to help clear out the eyes. You may also consider getting some artificial tears or GenTeal to keep the eyes moist and clear. You may be able to see if there is a lysine supplement and a human vitamin store to tide you over until you can get some from the vet.

Hi and thanks for using Boop by Petco! Sorry to hear about Sweetie. Unfortunately Zymox Otic HC contains enzymes and some hydrocortisone. It will help with itching, inflammation, and pain but will not treat ear mites. I would advise letting your vet take a look at Sweetie after getting a thorough history. They can then advise some diagnostic tests to evaluate what is going on with the ears. They can do an ear smear where they take some of the ear discharge, put it on a slide, and examine it under the microscope. Ear mites, bacteria, yeast, and foreign bodies can all cause ear infections/ear problems. Ear mites are contagious to all pets in the household so it's important to diagnose and treat that appropriately. There are topical flea/tick products that also treat ear mites and there are topical ear medicines which can address a variety of ear problems. Good luck with Sweetie.

Hello, and thanks for using Boop by Petco. It does sound very likely that Max is having a flare-up of feline herpes. Many cats respond favorably to a supplement of L-lysine, which can shorten herpes flare-ups. If this is something Max is prone to, I recommend keeping L-lysine on hand - you can always start the supplement prior to an anticipated stressful event to help decrease the risk of a flare-up. There are many different products out there, so you can call your vet and see what they carry, or there are also over-the-counter options such as this: https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/tomlyn-l-lysine-chews Upper respiratory viruses can definitely cause some discomfort and inflammation in the eyes, but I recommend not putting anything on his eyes without consulting your veterinarian first, as some products are dangerous if there's any risk of a corneal ulcer (which can also occur secondary to upper respiratory viruses). However, if his eyes appear uncomfortable it is w
