Been using tobramycin drops for a week. Are eyes still bad?
My dog just had slightly greenish color discharge from his eye. I have Tobramycin 3mg eye drop prescribed to him before. Can I apply this to him?
My dog scratched her eye and was prescribed apo-diclofenac ophthalmic (anti inflamatory) and sandoz tobramycin (antibiotic). Which one should be given 10 minutes before the other? I forgot my vets instructions....
I was given an abandoned kitten (found alone). She is around 5 weeks old and has two eye ulcers from what the initial vet told me. She has been on tobramycin for a week, 4-5 drops a day. I’m afraid her eye has formed a descemetocele and gotten worse, but I have little knowledge of cat eye. I didn’t not know if I should immediately take her in to change the treatment course or persist with the tobramycin. She seems to keep her eyes open and no discharge. Right eye is much more severe. Thank you
I have a hypercalcemic cat on bi-phosphates that was prescribed Tobramycin Ophthalmic Solution 0.3% and I'm reading warnings that this can cause kidney issues and something about calcium chelation and I'm concerned that since he is predisposed to CKD/stones, etc that these eye drops may harm him? Should I be concerned?
Gizmo had a deep corneal ulcer in his left eye and I took him to the Emergency Vet Sunday morning and they gave him tobramycin. I also rechecked with my regular vet yesterday and she prescribed him REMEND CORNEAL REPAIR gel. I noticed today that his cloudiness is fading away but you can still see the ulcer. Is it supposed to heal that fast?
We took our border collie to the vet when we noticed something wrong with her right eye. They gave us Tobramycin Ophthalmic Solution drops. It got a little better but it’s not back to normal at all and now her right eye is also not looking good. I don’t think the drops are doing much good. Any idea what could be wrong with her eyes? Thank you so much for your advise.
My 16 y/o dog has severe KCS w/ocular perforation both eyes. Currently being treated w/Erythromycin eye gtts TID and Remend TID, generic artificial tears TID. Before this tx, we tried Tobramycin & Gentamicin q4hr. She had the last of 7 days of Clavamox po q12h. Nothing is working. Aside from euthanasia, the vet is suggesting removal of both eyes. Are there more hard-hitting antibiotics that we should be trying? What else can I do? My heart is breaking.
Recovering from a bad URI. Giving him 0.8 ml azithromycin once a day orally and one drop of tobramycin in each eye 2x/day/began 9/30/19. Breathing improved, little to no ocular/nasal discharge. Swelling went down in both eyes to nearly normal. Last night left lower lid began to look irritated. Today looks swollen and painful. Is this normal of the healing process or should I be concerned with this new lower lid swelling. Photo of eye attached. Thanks for your help.
My kitten has a nasty URI with badly swollen eyes and he won’t stop rubbing them. They start to look better and then he runs them and irritates hem all over again. I have tobramycin drops for his eyes but the vet only instructed putting in the drops one drop in each eye twice a day. Will it alleviate his irritation to do more drops per day to avoid his eye rubbing? I cannot get him to quit even when I distract him with toys or food. Thanks for any help.
Hi, yesterday I found biscuits in street crying I went to vet cleaned the eyes but said that it's inflamed and shut with a membrane. her breath is high and very weak. The vet wrote these medications 1 - antibiotic cefixime 2 cc every 8 hours, 2 - eye drops contain tobramycin and dexamethasone, 3 - rehydration packs to dissolve in water. how to take care of food, temperature, hydration, and pooping not I don't have any pets supplies in my country plez help with alternates help biscuit live plez
So I have a kitten who had terrible eyes due to a bad URI. They reacted badly to every ointment I tried and every drops until I tried tobramycin. One of her eyes cleared up within a couple weeks, the other however I have been putting drops in for at least a month likely longer and it looks like it is just about cleared up but never completely cleared. I had a past foster with a similar issue who turned out to have scar tissue on one eye . Could this also be scar tissue? Will it ever clear up?
