My dog just had slightly greenish color discharge from his eye. I have Tobramycin 3mg eye drop prescribed to him before. Can I apply this to him?
My dog scratched her eye and was prescribed apo-diclofenac ophthalmic (anti inflamatory) and sandoz tobramycin (antibiotic). Which one should be given 10 minutes before the other? I forgot my vets instructions....
I was given an abandoned kitten (found alone). She is around 5 weeks old and has two eye ulcers from what the initial vet told me. She has been on tobramycin for a week, 4-5 drops a day. I’m afraid her eye has formed a descemetocele and gotten worse, but I have little knowledge of cat eye. I didn’t not know if I should immediately take her in to change the treatment course or persist with the tobramycin. She seems to keep her eyes open and no discharge. Right eye is much more severe. Thank you
I have a hypercalcemic cat on bi-phosphates that was prescribed Tobramycin Ophthalmic Solution 0.3% and I'm reading warnings that this can cause kidney issues and something about calcium chelation and I'm concerned that since he is predisposed to CKD/stones, etc that these eye drops may harm him? Should I be concerned?
My rott is having an eye problem, its lower eyelid looks red and eyes looks watery some times. I have given antibiotics and eye drops as prescribed by my vet, still the condition is same. I have give azithromycin for 7 days (1 per day) and amoxicillin tab for 10 days(1 per day) , ivermectin 10 mg tab for 20 days and ciplox and tobramycin eye drops.
Recovering from a bad URI. Giving him 0.8 ml azithromycin once a day orally and one drop of tobramycin in each eye 2x/day/began 9/30/19. Breathing improved, little to no ocular/nasal discharge. Swelling went down in both eyes to nearly normal. Last night left lower lid began to look irritated. Today looks swollen and painful. Is this normal of the healing process or should I be concerned with this new lower lid swelling. Photo of eye attached. Thanks for your help.
My kitten has a nasty URI with badly swollen eyes and he won’t stop rubbing them. They start to look better and then he runs them and irritates hem all over again. I have tobramycin drops for his eyes but the vet only instructed putting in the drops one drop in each eye twice a day. Will it alleviate his irritation to do more drops per day to avoid his eye rubbing? I cannot get him to quit even when I distract him with toys or food. Thanks for any help.
Hello! Last week I noticed one of my feral ( ish ) cats was squinting and had some discharge in her eye . Managed to get to vet , dr said to try to administer tobramycin drops as much as possible for 7 days. They gave her a drop in hospital last thurs and fri I managed to give her a drop in the am n pm by picking her up while she’s eating ( only time I can get close )Since then she’s avoided me like the plague and I haven’t been successful in getting her. Don’t know what to Do here thank you
17 year old dog is walking a bit Off balance and loss of energy. Typically energetic dog even at his age. Also eye producing fluid and some discharge as well. Vet said it was eye infection and gave him tobramycin ophthalmic solution Eyedrops Tuesday...Doesn’t seem to have helped as symptoms have gotten worse. Lose of balance.. Unsteady walk . Had an episode of vestibular syndrome 2 years ago and unsure if he’s having another episode now . Still eating and drinking water.
My kitten started off as a foster with a severe URI herpes infection. Her right eye is bright blue, clear and good as new but her left eye never completely cleared, despite the tobramycin drops and multiple ointments. It doesn't bother her at all but I find it weird that it is perfectly healthy and yet so cloudy compared to the other. I've been to countless vets, all say it's either a birth defect or something else, all say nothing can be done. Any ideas what this is? Does she have options?
Corner of dogs inner eye is raw. He gets huge crusties, which could be scabs but they get so big he rips them off. I've taken him to the vet 2 times first time it was for his bottom which is also raw, second time was for his bottom and his eyes. Vet has given me gentamicin spray, nystatin ointment, tobramycin drops, and hydroxyzine. She thinks it's food allergies so also put him on a bland diet for 1 week and to try messing with different food options. Nothing seems to be working though?
I have asked this question but My dogs eye seems flipped and it’s leaking, bleeding, and swollen. What’s the best thing to do in this situation? She has eye drops but those don’t seem to be working” but forgot to mention that we went to the vet and they diagnosed her with cancer I’m very concerned that this could be an effect of that. Is there any way that her cancer can cause her eye to be this swollen? (She also has Decameron NaP04 and Tobramycin Solution, but those don’t seem to be working)
