Luna’s front paws are red and swollen around her nails. She seems to be licking and chewing her paws more than normal, too. We have used Soft Paws since she was about 8-10 weeks old, but removed them as soon as we noticed the irritation. We use the same litter we always have. The only recent “change” was 5 days ago - she jumped in the tub while I was bathing my dog with dog flea shampoo. What could be the cause of this type of irritation (allergy, infection, etc.) and how would we treat it?

Whenever my dog bites one of her paws, it would have swollen lumps in between her toes to the point where the lump would burst with liquid and blood. I started soaking her paws with betadine and warm water daily which stopped this from happening. However, I stopped soaking her paws a couple of months ago because they stopped swelling for like the whole winter season. But now that the weather is hotter. The swelling seems to happen again. Why is that?
