Hi there and thank you for using Boop by Petco to address your concern. Without pictures it is difficult to say for sure what the cause is. I would recommend applying a topical antibiotic ointment such as Sentry wound ointment and apply twice daily until resolved. This can be found at your local Petco. If this does not help or it worsens, I would recommend having her examined by a veterinarian so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.

I am sorry to hear about Lily. These can be very frustrating cases. Sometimes nasal saline drops can be helpful if your pet will tolerate these. Another off-label product we find helpful in some cases is a nasal drop made using the drug Cerenia. You could ask your vet if they offer this or can research how to mix it up. In some cases we may also recommend additional testing such as scoping, dental X-ray, or CT.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! These could be benign or malignant growths. This is often differentiated by a test called a fine needle aspirate (FNA) which is a pain free, inexpensive and easy procedure which in most cases will help reach a diagnosis. Sometimes a biopsy is needed for a definitive diagnosis. I recommend that you have her evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. I am really hoping for something benign. Good luck and have a good night!

From your description, it sounds like this could be a reverse sneeze. These are not dangerous (unless it happens continuously, then we would need to look for a cause). Check out this video to see if it seems similar: https://youtu.be/U3L4v0W2_Sw If not, then a vet visit is probably warranted to figure out what is going on. I hope this helps!
