It looks like Snoop has an infection in the skin. These are generally bacterial in nature although fungal infections and mites are also a possibility. Sometimes these can be treated topically by cleaning the area in a medicated shampoo every other day and applying topical medication. For very itchy lesions or ones not responding to topical therapy within a few days, the veterinarian can prescribe medications that will heal it faster. It is also important to protect the area from Snoop's nails scratching it. Hope he starts feeling better soon.

If Snoop is really not doing well then I would recommend hospitalizing him on IV fluids. I would also recommend diagnostics like an ultrasound to see what is going on with Snoop. I am concerned that he isn't eating and isn't doing well but he should go back to the veterinarian for more of a work up and treatment. Thank you for using Boop by Petco.

I am sorry to hear about your concern for Snoop Dogg! We can sometimes see a darkening in the skin pigment with Cushing's disease but we can also see it with skin infection or other causes of inflammation. For this reason I would let your vet know about the change so they can determine if it warrants an examination for Snoop Dogg.

Thank you for using Boop by Petco! It sounds like Snoop is having an issue keeping his balance. This can be due to an issue with his vestibular system, or the part of the nervous system responsible for compensating for changes in location (for example, in a human, getting dizzy on a merry go round is a result of your vestibular system getting "confused"). This is especially likely if he is falling to one side consistently. Vestibular issues can come from the nervous system itself or from the inner ear. Snoop can also have a generalized weakness causing him to fall over, which can be due to a toxin, dehydration, low blood sugar, and many other causes. Snoop should definitely be seen by a vet as soon as possible to determine the underlying cause of his loss of balance and initiate the appropriate treatment.

Great question! Seasonal allergies to grasses and plants outside are quite common. The next time, be sure to wipe Snoop's whole body down with a damp cloth to remove any lingering pollen or debris to limit his contact with these substances. Also consider discussing antihistamine administration with Snoop's vet as an ongoing preventative measure. If he becomes excessively itchy and his pink lesions worsen, he could be developing a skin infection from all of his scratching, which would require veterinary attention. I hope that all goes well!
