I am sorry to hear about your dog! I would recommend the Duoxo Calm line of products, https://www.douxo.com/us/douxo-solutions/douxo-calm , a fatty acid supplement such as Welactin, and I would talk to your vet about an over the counter antihistamine such as Benadryl or Zyrtec https://www.petcoach.co/search/?query=can%20i%20give%20benadryl https://www.petcoach.co/canigive/dog/zyrtec/. It is extremely difficult, if not impossible to control a pets allergies with access to medications through your vet. If you are looking for an affordable and effective treatment, then ask your vet about a product called Apoquel. It has grown immensely in its popularity among pet owners because of its reasonable pricing and effectiveness in controlling canine allergic dermatitis. Also I know you probably are already aware, but finding out what the allergen is and either avoiding it (when possible) or getting skin allergy testing and subsequent allergy shots are often needed to truly control a pets allergic condition. However as I mentioned earlier, Apoquel acts to stop the itch in pets with allergies as long as the pet is on the medication. Another thing you can do is to give Ahi daily fish oils (pet formulated from your local pet store), which provides some natural anti-inflammatory properties. Hello. Honestly, I recommend either Nordic Naturals or Bayer Free Form Snip Tips. Both of these are highly recommended by veterinary dermatologists, too. You will need to call other veterinarians to see who carries Cytopoint. It is an excellent product & most of my clients love the convenience of only needing a simple injection once ever 6-8 weeks to control their pet's allergies. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.

Hi there and thank you for using Boop by Petco to address your concern. From the pictures it appears that Dune may be dealing with a skin infection. If you are unable to get him in to be seen by the veterinarian, I would recommend the below products, which can all be found online quite easily. Do this for about 3-4 weeks and if there is no improvement, I would recommend having a veterinarian examine Dune so that the most appropriate treatment recommendations can be made. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further. 1. Douxo PS Chlorhexidine Combination and bathe twice weekly until resolved 2. Malacetic conditioning spray and apply 2-3 times per day on the affected areas until resolved 3. Welactin omega 3 fish oil capsules for dogs 4. Essential 6 Spot On by Dermoscent

Hi there and thank you for using Boop by Petco to address your concern. This still may be a skin allergy but Benadryl sometimes does not work. I would recommend using a shampoo such as Douxo PS Chlorhexidine combination shampoo and bathe twice weekly until resolve. I would also recommend using products such as welactin omega 3 fish oil, essential 6 spot on by dermoscent and malacetic conditioning spray. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further. All of these product recommendations can be found online. If the problem becomes worse, I would recommend having your veterinarian examine Sofie.
