Health & WellbeingHello. My bird Picasso is an active bird (he chirps, screams, flies around) but he doesnt seem to play or be entertained by anything. How do i entertain my shy/lazy bird?
Picasso is very cute! Entertaining him greatly depends on what he is interested in. If he likes to be out and about with you, setting up a cage-top or stand playpen where he can be near you but have things to chew on or play with may be fun for him. Spending time together bonding or learning some tricks together may also be enriching for him. Some birds love to shower, so setting up a perch in the shower and letting him explore/enjoy the steam and mist may be fun for him too. If he doesn't like his current toys, trying out different ones that offer treats, encourage preening, etc may be more enriching for him.
