My sister, parents, and I are all very busy people, and while we manage to take Conan for a walk most days, and there’s almost always someone home with him, I feel like he’s not getting enough mental and physical stimulation. He’s still young and very energetic. He’s not super interested in kibble-dispensers, unless there are HIGH quality treats, because he’s never been very food-motivated. Do you have any recommendations for energy-burning games or brain stimulating toys for him?
My cat only likes toys with some type of string but then he chews thru them and won’t play with them anymore. What type of toys would be best?
can cats actually be hoarders / kleptos? i know all cats “steal” things like hair ties and whatnot but my cat has hoards of toys, garbage, clothes, shoes, etc under every piece of furniture in my bedroom.every time i move smth i find 10-20 items. i actually see her take toys from her toy basket and stuff from my trashbin and hide them sometimes. she stole a lint roller and hid it under my tv stand for a month until i had to buy a new one. i’ve never had a cat who did this! it’s so strange !
So along with Jasper, we have two cats. He continuously goes after the kitty litter and eats everything the box contains. The litter box has a cover on it, but he sticks his head through. Hes always supervised but the box is in the porch where he goes to let us know he has to go outside so when he goes out into the porch, he runs for the kitty litter and before we can stop him he's already eaten a bit of it. How do we stop this behaviour?
Our cat has started to chew on plastic. She doesn't actually eat any so far. We play with her a lot, but she always seems to be poking around with everything. Is it a problem?
My cat does not like toys, I really want to entertain him so he won’t become bored however it seems like nothing entices him. I’ve tried teasers, balls, crinkles, interactive toys, toys with food, catnip. You name it. I asked a vet on here but she told me to try the same toys Ive been trying to get him to play with. What do I do?
My girl has an issue that exercising and mental stimulation does not seem to cure. She is obsessed with cats she doesnt hurt them and in sure she is only playing but shes 90 pounds running after something that is like 10 pounds which is obviously scary. I ammat a loss for what to do for her. Dog trainers could not seem to break the stubbornness that she has had since she was a pup. My one at doesn't care about her. My kitten is terrified of her.
Hi there, I just got a 10 month old puppy and I have two resident cats as well. He keeps trying to chase them and I'm not sure what to do to get him to stop. He's fine with my orange cat but he really bolts for my calico and she's completely traumatized. He isn't showing any signs of aggression towards them, he just really wants to play. I try to do this thing where I feed him treats if he looks at me while the cats are in the room, but it still isn't working. I'm worried someone will get hurt.
Lido is a very hyper puppy that loves to chase chickens and cats... She is driving me crazy, any tips of how can I train her to calm her down?
How do I keep my 5 year old female cat from escaping
Why does my kitten eat random things when they play?
How do I make a kitten understand how a Kong toy works? I've already tried spraying it with catnip so that she plays with it and understands that when she moves it, treats fall out of it. But she seems not to be atracted to catnip yet as she's still too young. Any tips? Thank you!
