My 9 months old golden retriever is due for tick and fleas meds control , can I just buy it at any Petco store
You can buy those products at Petco for Beaux. I would advise to only purchase Frontline or Advantix. I would not get anything cheaper than that. Be aware that these are still your best over the counter products but fleas are developing immunity to them. In general, the oral products like Simparica and Bravecto are the best. Hello. Petco carries a number of products that might help. Zymox makes a spray & a salve that contains hydrocortisone, that can really help with the itching. On-line, you can find many more products such as shampoos & conditioners that also contain hydrocortisone. Topicals only work for short periods of time. Longer relief can be obtained with immunostimulants such as Apoquel & Cytopoint, both available from your veterinarian. Your pet may also have additional issues such as skin mites, fleas, bacterial & yeast infections in the skin, & your veterinarian can certainly help to sort some of these issues out. Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Poor Charlie! I recommend the following products for ticks: Nexgard, Bravecto, Simparica or the Seresto Collar. The spot on treatments, bathing and powders do not work well anymore. Hopefully you can get one of the above products from your Vet. The Seresto collars can be found online but I have heard of counterfeit ones being sold on amazon so be careful of online sources. It is best to try to get them from your Vet.
