I didn't see the first question so I may be repeating the same advice, but there are a few other things you can try: One is picking up any other water bowls, and leaving the fountain unplugged and not running for a few days, but with water in it. This will allow your cats to get used to it without the added "scariness" of the running water for a bit. Once they are more used to drinking from it, you can then plug it in, and if it has various settings, set it to a quiet or low setting. Continuing to feed near it or place treats around it (high value ones, such as warmed boiled chicken, not just crunchy cat treats!) may also entice them to check it out, however some cats prefer not to have their food next to their water dishes- in which case, moving the food away for a few days and seeing if that improves things may also help. I'd keep experimenting with it, and if your cats are truly afraid to approach it at all, then trying something else instead may be best.

Thank you for contacting Boop by Petco with your question about Udon. Good job adding water to his wet food, as this will give him extra water. The wet food is also providing a source of water. Cats aren't big water drinkers, but I have found success with a cat water fountain. My cats love it and it encourages them to drink from it. I would get him a cat water fountain, you can find them online and at a pet store. I hope this helps!

I would have at least 1 water bowl on each level of the house. Its very important for cats to have access to water as they can be a little on the dehydrated side even when they are not sick. Put the bowls in quiet, out of the way locations.

Hi and thank you for using Boop by Petco! Sorry your Tabby is having issues with his water dish! A lot of cats do prefer running water to drink from and not standing water. You may try purchasing a pet fountain from your local supply store (a small one will work) and give that a try. He may like the running water more. If you are giving him the same food every day, don't stop! Changing up the food frequently will turn him into a very picky eater. Stick with one food and continue to offer it- cats will not stave themselves if they are hungry enough. He will learn to eat what is in front of him. However, if you notice your tabby has gone more than 3 days without eating, I would be suspicious there is something else more concerning going on with him that may need to be evaluated by a veterinarian. I hope this has helped and I wish you and your Tabby the very best!

You have nothing to worry about, my cats are exactly the same, they will prefer every other option that seems to be fresher than their bowls, i tried a fountain bowl for a while but it never really replaced their need to drink from wherever they could.
