Yes, most pet stores have a small animal section with a variety of toys. Look for chew toys with safe woods such as willow, apple, birch, spruce and aspen. Soft toys and exercise wheels are also good options.

Get a Kong and stuff it with kibble or treats. Then smear peanut butter (make sure it does not contain any xylitol) over the hole completely. Put it in the freezer for a few hours. The coolness will feel good on M. J’s gums. In general King toys are a favorite for dogs. Rope toys can also massage the gum when he bites into them. If you go to the Pet Store or online you can find toys specifically for teething puppies. They can often be put in the refrigerator. As a sidenote, always check his toys for any pieces that he could tear off and swallow as this could cause an intestinal blockage. Throw away any of those toys and buy him new ones when this occurs. I hope you find this helpful and please feel free to post any additional questions!

Meowing is a normal play vocalization and is very common- especially among young cats like Raven! There may be a component of irritation or confusion but even if that is the case, it is not worrisome to me, especially since she keeps playing with the toy! Best wishes to you and Raven!

Toys are boring. Live things are better and playing with a human that varies the speed of how things move is also better. Try throwing small crumpled paper balls, pull a feather attached to a string or use a laser pointer for exciting games. Take away all her toys and give her only one a day to play with. That should make it more interesting for Raven.

I am very sorry to hear that Lakota is having a difficult time. There are few possible causes for these behaviour such as coming into season, psuedopregnancy, pregnancy, an internal infection as well as hormonal imbalances. It could also be simply that Lakota experienced an event or a change in her life which is making her feel unsettled. I would advise taking her to see her veterinarian to have her examined, potentially have blood work taken and analysed to help diagnose the issue. In the meantime, you can try some of the following techniques at home to help her feel more settled; Dog appeasing pheromone collar and/ or diffuser Thunder coat White noise machine Increased interaction with you including games, petting and walks Positive refinforcement when she does go out or leave her panda toy alone I hope this was helpful and that Lakota feels herself again soon. Please post any further questions you may have on the forum. We are always here to help at Boop by Petco.
