Novolin N Insulin Dog Medicine and Prescriptions

The pharmacy have me Novolin 70/30 instead of Novolin N for my 12 year old lab. He takes 22 units. Can I still use this insulin ?

My 15 year old Lhasa was diagnosed three months ago with diabetes. The vet prescribed 12units Novolin N. He has since lost another 5 pounds but, his numbers are still high...450+ four hours after insulin. Vet says bring him back in three months. Can this be the best I can do for my bud? What are my options?
