I use natural chemistry shampoo and flea spray but i found more on her this morning. What should I use? I also have 2 small children at home. I also need a safe spray for my house as well

My dog got a bit high in her SGOT in her blood chemistry which is 45.1. The normal range is 10-43. Our vet said that she has heart problem. Is it correct? What does her result mean? Thanks.

ive been trying to use only all natural products because my pets are allergic/ very sensitive to a lot of products all the natural one seem to work really well for them i usually get their stuff online but i was at Walmart and bought no rinse waterless shapoo is says it natural plant based cleansing no residue the problem is I've learned that some products that say natural really aren't at times so before i use it i wanted to know if it was natural but i don't understand the ingredients

A 12-year old Siamese cat has pancreatitis and ileus, the pancreatitis subsides and he started eating, however the ileus persists and interrupts his appetite and lifestyle. 1. Should we treat the ileus and how? Will it stop after treatment? 2. Is ileus a common symptom of pancreatitis? 4. Should we consider other diagnostics tests besides blood/chemistry profile and fPLI? 5. How worried should we be that he may have major underlying diseases such as IBD / Lymphoma? Thank you!

Hello, My dog Chloe had a 4DX snap test yesterday and it came out positive for Anaplasma bacteria. Her blood work, chemistry, and urinanysis is normal. Doctor prescribed Doxycycline 200mg every 12 hours for 10 days. She had a first dose after diner and then vomited. I wonder if she vomited because of Doxycycline and what to do. Also, will the antibiotic completely eradicate the bacterial infection. My dog's main symptoms are lethargy and stiffness but she has a very good appetite. Please, advise

As a student and currently as a vet, how fascinated and interested are you in biology and science as a whole? I enjoy math, history and many aspects of both chemistry and biology. I'm extremely worried that my interests don't align with those needed to be a vet. In university and vet school, did you find the workload as enjoyable or just something that had to be done to work as your desired career? Do you really enjoy memorizing different medicines, body parts..etc?

Good Morning, I am just having some trouble understanding some results. My pet(dog) did some pre op blood work and it turns out that her liver enzymes were high. So they decided to do more blood work next was a liver function test which I was told came back good. So a couple days later a liver chemistry test was done. And I am trying to understand the difference in the tests. Do both test rule out different things?

What's a better food Acana singles or Natural Balance l.i.d.? My dog does well on both but seems to do particularly well on the natural balance. I thought Acana was better so I'm confused to why she does better on the natural balance? Is natural balance still a good brand, why or why not? Thanks!

Hi! Lucky developed a bump in his head about a year ago. At the time it was small, flesh colored, and his doctor said that it wasn't cancerous as his chemistry results indicated good health. Since then the bump has grown significantly and is colored like a bruise. Still, his labs are normal and the doctor can't diagnose the knot. Do you have an idea of what it could be and how I can remove it? He's in no obvious pain and is still a happy dog. I understand this might require a "cosmetic" surgery.
