Thanks for using Boop by Petco! Seizures can occur due to many reasons that go from a toxicity, metabolic diseases, inflammatory diseases and even tumors. I would reach for more traditional anti-seizure drugs such as phenobarbital. This is something your veterinarian can prescribe for him. Good luck and have a good day! Hoping for a speedy recovery!

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! Sorry that you are going through this. Good job, it sounds like you have done everything you can to help Texugo. A seizure that long would be very concerning if he truly was having seizures that whole time. There are other medications you can add on to the ones that you are giving at this moment. Generally diazepam is avoided in cats as it can affect the liver. I think that you could consider adding a medication called zonisamide to the phenobarbital and potassium bromide. You could discuss this with your veterinarian to see if that would be ok based on his current condition but that may help control the seizures. Good luck!

I'm sorry to hear that your kitty has liver disease. Unfortunately we legally cannot provide you with doses of medication for your pet without first doing an in person examination. I would consult with the vet that diagnosed Crystal with this condition and they should be more than willing to give you the proper doses of the medication you are inquiring about. Also I would highly recommend getting Crystal on the rx diet for liver disease. Your vet can give you a prescription for this food. This is the mainstay treatment for liver disease in pets. You should also get Crystal on Denamarin as well to help preserve liver function. I hope that your kitty Crystal does well moving forward. Best wishes and take care.

Gabapentin is no longer used for seizures as there are much more effective medications. max needs to be examined by the veterinarian today to be tested for different causes of seizures and then to discuss the best medication. I hope this helps and that Max responds to treatment.

Hi there! As long as the CBD oil is labeled for use in cats, I have often used it in both cats and dogs as adjunctive therapy for different ailments. I haven't had any problems prescribing different antibiotics at the same time as the CBD oil. Keep in mind, it may or may not help the seizures, but it definitely can't hurt (as long as it's labeled for use in cats to avoid toxic reactions of any kind). I hope you find this answer helpful! Best of luck! Also, this is the brand we carry: http://sevenleafpets.com/
