Lactulose Prescription Dog Digestive Medications

My cat is having chronic constipation for the first time in her life. Had 2 enemas and now on Fiber canned food and lactulose or miralax. The vet told me to start with lactulose and then switch to miralax. It has been one day on the mirlax but now i can't tell if it was the lactulose or the miralax that is working. Help!

Can I feed my constipated cat orange flavoured Lactulose?

I give both my furry girls lactulose everyday as they seem to have bowel isseues with emptying. Peapumkin got choked on the lactulose yesterday even though I’m so careful dosing it and she sounds kind of congested today a littleheavier breathing. Sometimes they both choke and then are ok. Pea is eat and drink ok my question is will it right itself her breathing or does she need antibiotics and to be seen after this happened . I feel horrible about it. please advise Thank

my 15 yearold overweight cat has constipation problems. Have been giving her lactulose on wet food which helps a lot but is very sugary and sticky and I am concerned if this is bad for her teeth and weight. My vet mentioned Crystalose which he thought could be sprinkled on her food but I can't find much about it. Do you have any suggestions? I tried Miralax which helped but not as well as lactulose. If not kept regular she has very painful episodes of constipation. Thank you .... Susan

Is there any possibility of clavamox and lactulose having a negative effect on a kitten when used together? My 3 to 4 week old foster is on day 4 of clavamox for her URI and had seemed to be better the last couple days. I gave her .4 ml of lactulose today as it is day 3 no BM and something now does not seem right. She seems very weak and abnormally tired. Gave 12 cc of SQ fluids and 1 cc of sugar water orally in case she was dehydrated or had low blood sugar but neither helped???

I recently adopted a 4 year old very obese cat. He had a very scary constipation episode. He is on lactulose and fancy feast right now. A fiber. Based diet was recommended. What brand would you recommend?

Pintu has been straining but not passing any stools. Vet examined an sed, she isn't dehydrated. Gave lactulose, which I gave once day before yesterday. But she got diarrhea so stopped it. My cat do go to the vet: problem is he still not having bowel movements, he has bee scooped out enemas lactulose cisapride special food with fiber still not having good bowel movements, also it's a 350 km drive to get him there. I woul like to know if the fiber food is going to help?

Is it normal for a kitten to get constipation after first vaccinations? My kitten was constipated a couple of weeks ago and has recovered since and produced normal stool. She had her vaccination yesterday and now seems to be constipated again I still have lactulose for her so have given her that much I was wondering if I could get any more advice? Thanks
