Ordered 9 days ago and still no delivery

If you need this medication quickly or at the last minute, I'd try to get it from someplace else. I ordered this 9 days ago and still haven't received it. My pet's prescription had already been approved and had refills so it wasn't like we were waiting on that. It shipped the next day but must have been sent UPS ground which is crazy for sensitive medications. I don't mind that I had to pay for shipping and I don't mind having to pay a little more for shipping if it means my order arrives quickly. Hopefully the product itself is fine though it's a medication that has been sitting in who knows what kind of temperature and moisture conditions for the last 10 days. You'd think that whoever Petco's pharmacy supplier is would take more care in ensuring prescriptions are shipped in an expedited manner to maintain the integrity of the medication.

The FACT that an adult can walk into a store to buy a laxative over the counter....You require a Rx and I provided and Rx. Then the Rx basically has to be signed in blood by the vet in order to get anything done, while there is a 5-10 day waiting period is completely unbelieveable. Yet, you will cancel the order at 14 days. WHAT A JOKE.

My munchkin cat has megacolon. He eats Royalcanin fiber dry food which I mix 50/50 with water and soak overnight to soften it. He very happily eats this with the lactulose mixed in and with a shot of miralax mixed with water. There is no way I could get a syringe in his cute little face. I think I may still be a bit smarter than him ???? Ha

Lactulose for Mega Colon

My 17-year old cat has mega colon. She gets 1 ml, twice a day, along with prescription Royal Canin Fiber Response Dry Food. She also gets 1 can of wet food per day. I give her the lactulose in a syringe. I have tried mixing it in her wet food but she will not eat it. Easier to syringe her.

Container it came in was unusable because it did not have a top that would allow me to insert a syringe and upend it for proper dosing without waste. Also, there was no syringe for dispensing. This is for an animal and a syringe is necessary. It's not like I can pour it into a measuring spoon for her to take it that way. I have to put it in her food or shoot into her mouth.

No, I do not recommend this product.

My cat is being taking lactulose for a year already. I mix it with his wet food and he has never had a problem with the flavor or side effects

Great product for senior pets

The transition from Drs. FS was not a problem. The prescription was on record and reordering was easy. I count on this product for my 2 senior cats when they get sluggish and lose their appetite.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Is this a clear liquid or the brown sticky thick solution that’s similar to the hairball relief?

  1. It is a clear liquid.

Does this come tuna flavored?  My cat currently takes 3ml 3x/day. The vet says she’ll need to be on it for life. I purchase it from a pharmacy that offers tuna flavor and she really likes the taste, but it cost 2x as much for the same amount.

  1. I get mine from PETCO, but Express Scripts fills the Rx. I have never heard of flavored Lactulose, but my poodle doesn't mind the taste. Pets with less than normal liver functions need this medication and timely dosage. Twinkle is 5 and doing extremely well. My cost for a bottle lasting 6 months is less than $30.
