Unfortunately, there are no veterinary clinics located in Petco stores in your area - yet. You can get vaccinations done at Vetco vaccination clinics, as well as heartworm and flea and tick prevention. Be sure you get Tars in before he is 6 months of age, and he won't need a heartworm test. He should also be dewormed against intestinal parasites. my dog has fleas. one of your grooming options are for fleas. do i have to take him to a vet first or can i bring him in to be groomed and have the Skin itch solution applied to him during grooming to resolve his issues
Rather than using the grooming option for fleas, do the following: Unfortunately fleas only hop on the body of your pet when they want to feed, then they hop off again and stay in your pet's environment. So you need to treat all pets in the household as well as the environment (which contains the fleas, their eggs and larvae). Flea treatment: 1) Get some flea medication such as a Flea spray or a spot on from a pet shop or your veterinarian and apply monthly 2) get flea powder, put some in your vacuum cleaner bag and vacuum your house and furniture and also non-carpeted areas frequently to remove flea larvae and eggs which live off house dust., Dispose of the bag in the trash outside. Hot-wash all the pet's bedding, If you do this diligently for a few months you will get rid of the fleas. The experts here on the forum at Boop by Petco do not work at Petco stores and I don't think anyone would have knowledge of inventory at local stores. I cannot find this particular product on the Petco website. It's possible that it's available at your local store and you could try giving them a call. My 9 months old golden retriever is due for tick and fleas meds control , can I just buy it at any Petco store
You can buy those products at Petco for Beaux. I would advise to only purchase Frontline or Advantix. I would not get anything cheaper than that. Be aware that these are still your best over the counter products but fleas are developing immunity to them. In general, the oral products like Simparica and Bravecto are the best. What vaccinations are required when using Petco services?
Petco requires animals in our care to meet certain vaccination requirements based on age and type of animal. All required vaccinations must be up to date. See the table below for required vaccinations. Required vaccinations for grooming: ----------------------------------- ### Dog - **Under 16 weeks:** Puppy Starter (Parvovirus, Hepatitis, Distemper).
