Can I dilute my dogs shampoo into a spray before I brush her?
Hello. This product does have some shampoo in it, so you can see if this leaves a soapy residue on Callie's coat after spraying her. If there is not too much residue, then diluting before brushing should be fine. If not, you may still need to rinse her off. They do make leave on dry shampoos & conditioners for dogs. Dr. Hinson/ Dr. Melanie: what about this shampoo? Also, do you recommend conditioner for dogs? I am going to try the allivet items but I came across this and became curious.
Flea and tick shampoos are only a quick fix. They will not continue to repel or kill fleas. They are not recommended - any brand. The Antiparasitic/Antiseborrheic shampoo does not have the active ingredients that the Duoxo has. I'm not saying it won't work (it might) but I am not familiar with it.

My bully mix has an itchy skin issue and I was hoping you could recommend a medicated shampoo. We have seen several vets and they have each recommended a different shampoo so I'm not sure what would be best. I would like something antifungal and anti
All of the brands you listed are good shampoos. Duoxo is one of my go to shampoos but many are equivalent. A chlorhexadine/ketoconazole shampoo helps treat yeast and bacteria. The main thing is to lather Sibyl up and allow the lather to soak for 20 minutes or so before rinsing. If needed you can bathe every 2-3 days. I also recommend an oral omega 3 supplement such as Derm Caps. Remember if you use topical flea or heart worm prevention the medicated shampoos will strip it out.
