I’m getting a kitten in about two weeks. I’ve never owned a kitten, so I have no idea what supplies to get. do you have any suggestions?
It's great that you want to be prepared for your new kitten! Aside from the obvious things for the kitten like food and water bowls, I'd recommend a tall scratching post and perch. Two litter boxes in different areas of the house are recommended. Canned kitten food (and canned adult cat food as Myla gets older) is preferred over dry food. Hello. The cats & kittens offered at Petco are actually managed by individual rescue groups. Prices will differ from rescue to rescue. All cats can do well if they are played with & fussed over once you get home. Can they get into trouble & sometimes make a mess? Absolutely. If you do not want hair & dander & kitty litter tracked all over the house, you should not have a pet. Cats may need to have their claws trimmed ( NOT REMOVED ) & plenty of opportunities to exercise their claws, otherwise they will scratch your furniture, moldings & walls. You will need different types of scratching surfaces, plenty of toys, a water & food dish, litter box ( or 2 ), & lots of patience. All cats are individuals, so when you go looking to adopt a cat, take your family & give yourself plenty of time to spend with your potential pet, & ask lots of questions about them. What all do I need for a new kitten
Great question, and congrats on your new kitten! You will need a litter box, unscented litter, a scoop for the litter box, food bowl, water bowl, a kitten formulated food, and kitten safe toys. You may also consider getting him a scratching post. In terms of food, the brands I recommend include Royal Canin, Hill's Science diet, Purina ProPlan, and Iams. It's important Luna is feed a kitten formulated food because he needs higher amounts of protein, calcium, and calories than adult cats, and a kitten food will provide that for him. You will also need to take him to the vet to get vaccines, flea and deworming treatments, and heartworm treatment. Good luck, I hope this helps :-)

I would not recommend applying Quadritop to her incisions - it contains a corticosteroid that could inhibit healing. You may want to try a compressed paper litter like Yesterday's News since the corn could still get stuck in her incisions even though she's not scratching in the box.

What should I do when one of my kitten's right front paw is not really developed? He only got to develop one claw at the same paw. By the way he is already at week 4 after being born.
Thanks for using Boop by Petco! I recommend taking Gray to a vet for xrays of the foot to see what malformation it is. If Gray is still able to move well and not in pain, then I would let it go without treatment. Cats (and dogs) do well on 3 limbs if necessary but if he’s in pain it needs to be addressed. Once a vet sees the malformation they can discuss treatment options if needed. Good luck and kisses to Gray!
