Hi there and thank you for using Boop by Petco to address your question. There are many other better options out there for chew treats / toys. I've seen several intestinal obstructions occur with rawhide chews, so the risk is there. I would recommend something such as a bully stick, kong toy filled with peanut butter, etc. as a safer option. Please let me know if you have any further questions!

My favorite rawhide chews are sold through a company called Raw Feeding Miami (www.rawfeedingmiami.com). They have large, very durable rawhide rolls that are all-natural and made without any chemicals or artificial processing. They're quite thick and last a long time, even for big dogs - I would highly recommend giving them a try if you're looking for a good rawhide for Buddy :)
My personal preference is compressed rawhide (not regular rawhide). Pig ears and Nylabones are OK too. Any of these types of treats you give them should only be given supervised. Antlers are not recommended - they are too hard and often break their teeth. Same with cow hooves. https://www.petsupplies.com/dog-supplies/rawhide-bones/pressed-rawhide/9398/
Hi and thanks for posting! If Blue is allergic to beef and chicken, all products associated with these proteins should be avoided which includes beef rawhide. You may want to stick to another non chicken or beef chew or treat such as the product I have listed below. https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/blue-ridge-naturals-oven-baked-salmon-jerky-dog-treats
Great question! I personally recommend Hill's Prescription Diet Dental Care Chews. They are good for dogs to chew on, and have the added benefit of being beneficial to Charlie's teeth. I would also have his mouth examined by a vet. His teeth shouldn't fall out from chewing on a rawhide (it can happen but not commonly), and it could be he has severe dental disease causing his teeth to be looser than normal. He may benefit from a dental cleaning, scaling, and polishing, which the vet can preform. You can also get those dental chews from the vet's office. I would take him into the vet this week. Good luck, I hope this helps!
