Dexamethasone Ophthalmic Solution

My dog has a green, dry eye mucus stuck to the corner of his eye. It doesn't look actively mucusy, but i know i saw a little mucus that i wiped away last week in the same eye. What could this be? He was prescribed neomycin polymyxin b sulfates and dexamethasone ophthalmic ointment a few months ago. Can i use this on his eye to help? Should i clean out the eye with saline? Thank you

My dog came back from a walk in the woods and the skin around eye is red, swollen and itchy. I think he might have rolled in something he is allergic to. I have neomycin and polymyxin b sulfates and dexamethasone ophthalmic ointment that I was prescribed to treat seasonal eye allergies. Is it okay to apply that to the affected area? My vet reopens tomorrow at 8 a.m. so I plan to check with them then.

Hi, I took my Labrador mix dog to the vet 2 weeks ago for something that is wrong with his eye. They prescribed drops (Neomycin and Polymyxin B Sulfates and Dexamethasone Ophthalmic Ointment, USP) for us to give him in his right eye, a small amount 6 times a day. Well, his eye hasn’t improved. And the vet we took him to didn’t know what was wrong with it. So I was wondering if you guys had any insight or input on it. I will provide pictures.

We took our border collie to the vet when we noticed something wrong with her right eye. They gave us Tobramycin Ophthalmic Solution drops. It got a little better but it’s not back to normal at all and now her right eye is also not looking good. I don’t think the drops are doing much good. Any idea what could be wrong with her eyes? My dog is a 3 year Maltese with 11 lbs. He was wearing a Scalibur necklace for flees, and by that developed a red rash around the neck. We removed it yesterday, but today he is itching, breathing more heavily than normal, and squiling. We called a vet and she told us to give him dexamethasone. We have 0.5mg human dexamethasone. We gave him 1 pill 0,5mg 5 hours ago, and 2 more half an hour ago. Total 1.5mg. Is that enough? Should we give more? When will the effect take place? Thanks!

Hi—a few weeks back my pup was diagnosed with pink eye. The vet prescribed neo-poly-dex ophthalmic Suspencion (2xd for 7 days). He has the exact same symptoms again (yellowish discharge and reddish eyes), would it be safe to start the drops again? Do I really need a vet appt? Thank You!
