My personal (and totally independent of Boop by Petco or Petco) recommendation would be the FitBark2. It is small, durable and links to my FitBit. It is at the top of the list here too: https://www.caninejournal.com/dog-activity-monitor/

Measuring activity such as scratching, eating/drinking and general activity are also good ideas. Changes in sleeping patterns and patterns of movement would also be beneficial. Good luck on your device Julia!!! Please feel free to post any additional questions.

Hi and thanks for using Boop by Petco! All microchips that get implanted are sterilized to prevent infection problems when they are inserted. Once implanted into a pet that microchip would be considered contaminated and would not be suitable to implant into another pet. I hope this answers your question. There are tracker devices that you can place on dog collars but the problem with these is that anyone can take the collar off or the device could fall off or be taken off of the collar. Just do a Google search and we can see the many devices available but I would recommend that you stick with the implantable microchips and keep them registered with a microchip service that houses the data. Always keep your address up to date if you move with that microchip registration service. That way they can contact you if your pet gets lost and is scanned for a chip. You can always add a tracking device if you want to in the future to track your pet. Good luck with Pumpkin.

Hi there and thank you for using Boop by Petco to address your concern. I would ensure that you have plenty of environmental enrichment for him. I would recommend the kong toys and fill them with peanut butter, etc. There are also interactive devices so you can interact with your dog remotely. There is a camera device called PetCube and you can control the camera, speak to him through the microphone directly from your cell phone and control a laser pointer to keep him entertained. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.
