Easy snacks include raw carrots or green beans. You can also dehydrate boneless chicken breasts to use as treats and rewards. Most of the premium diets offer treats in their product lines. These brands include Royal Canin, Canidae, Acana or Orijen.

My favorite is the Virbac veggie chews. They contain no meat products. Here is a link —> https://us.virbac.com/home/our-products/pagecontent/product-selector/cet/cet-veggiedent-tartar-control.html However, keep in mind that if Twinkie has severe dental disease (ie loose teeth, gum loss), then he won’t be able to handle any hard chews like this. Instead a good dental cleaning and extraction of any diseased teeth should be discussed with your veterinarian before using chews. Best of luck moving forward with Twinkie, and I hope that these are suitable for him. Take care

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! So your Vet will prescribe the prescription food but not the treats? I would ask to speak to your Vet directly. Sadly anything that is prescription requires a valid Veterinary-Client-Patient-Relationship (VCPR). A VCPR requires a yearly exam which is what the law/veterinary boards require from the Vet. Any refill on prescriptions need yearly exams. With that being said you may be able to find the treats online as it is hard to enforce prescription diets, let alone treats. For what it is worth it is in the best interest of Oscar to have yearly exams and be up to date on his vaccines. I wish you the best!

Hi there and thanks for posting on Boop by Petco! It is not uncommon for older cats to develop cysts or warts on their skin. If these were checked with Poland's veterinarian and deemed benign, that is a very good thing. However, these are typically age related and are not altered by diet. Sometimes a secondary infection of these cysts can cause some discomfort, so you may want to revisit with your veterinarian if Poland appears more bothered by them lately. It is always a great idea to add in fish oil and get a better diet going especially in older cats. I would recommend Orijen or Canidae- they have great grain free options for senior cats. I hope this helps!
