I think that all of these brands are about the same in terms of quality and vary mainly in marketing. None of these brands have a veterinary nutritionist on staff or have conducted any feeding trials, and they all use many 'non-traditional' ingredients which may vary in digestibility. Unfortunately terms like 'fit for human consumption' do not have any legal definition, and I would not be concerned about the use of brewer's rice in a food. I like to use this document as a guideline for choosing a pet food: http://www.wsava.org/sites/default/files/Recommendations%20on%20Selecting%20Pet%20Foods.pdf

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Poor Bruno! Possible causes of Bruno's limp are: strain or a sprain from being stepped on, if he is older it could have aggravated arthritis, a toe or a bone could be broken, or it could be something unrelated like Lyme disease. Since Bruno can hardly walk on the leg that indicates pain. I recommend having Bruno seen by your Vet for an exam. If there is concern for the paw then they may want to take X-rays, otherwise they may just prescribe anti-inflammatories and rest. I hope this helps and I wish Bruno a speedy recovery!

Thanks for reaching out about Tweety. Training is all about persistence and positive reinforcement. Pick her up and place her on your finger and give praise. Offer to step up, if does not, then pick her up and place her on your finger, give her praise. Repeat until successful. Good luck.

Hi there and thank you for using Boop by Petco to address your concern. It is difficult to say for sure what the problem is since you are not able to find one particular area that is affected. I would recommend having a veterinarian examine Bo to see if something can be found on a physical examination and then go from there in regards to diagnostics and treatment options. You could also monitor him for 24 hours and if there is no improvement, then schedule an exam with a veterinarian. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.

This sort of gait is very common in terrier types and is often due to issues with the knee cap or the groove in which it sits - often slipping or getting stuck over the groove can cause temporary lameness. If severe and uncomfortable or occurring very frequently, corrective surgery to reallign the knee cap and groove may be required
