Hi there and thank you for using Boop by Petco to address your concern. Klonopin (Clonazepam) is a drug that we commonly use for anxiety in animals. Based on the veterinary drug book, the recommended dose for Clonazepam in dogs is 0.1 - 1 mg/kg by mouth every 12-24 hours. So for example, 30lb would equal 13.6kg. So the dose this body weight should receive would be 1.4mg every 12-24 hours as the lowest dose and 13.6mg every 12-24 hours as the highest dose. I always recommend testing out a new medication prior to using it for its intended purpose to see if it works. If this is expired, I would refrain against using this. As always, I would contact your veterinarian, whom you usually see for Olive and discuss using this medication with the vet on the phone as I do not know the full medical history on Olive. You would need a current prescription from a veterinarian who has physically examined Duke. You can then place your order and submit the prescription. The pharmacy will then contact the veterinarian or clinic to confirm the prescription then fill the order.

Hopefully it is the same medication, although there have been lawsuits about mislabeled and counterfeit medications with online pharmacies. Also, you do need a prescription from your veterinarian in order to purchase these products. I would recommend visiting with your veterinarian, as there is a possibility they may price match for you. Do you provide prescriptions for breeders and pet owners or is this service just for advice?
Unfortunately, we cannot (legally and ethically) advise medication without having an established patient-doctor relationship. It is also dangerous for us to advise medication without examining the animal and fully understanding their condition and medical history. The only place to get a prescription is through a veterinary clinic. However, some vets may be comfortable writing prescriptions for well-established clients that they trust know the conditions they are treating for. This service is strictly for advice only.
