Does the coating from my hamster come off if I use Citrus Magic Pet Foaming Cleanser? Or should I not use it?
I was given a Saje essential oil diffuser as a gift and I'm very concerned about any toxicity it may cause with cats? Are some oils fine or are they all bad to use around cats? The one I was given with the diffuser is this blend: grapefruit (citrus grandis (grapefruit) peel oil) bergamot (citrus aurantium bergamia (bergamot) fruit oil) orange (citrus aurantium dulcis (orange) peel oil) lime (citrus aurantifolia (lime) peel oil) mandarin red (citrus nobilis (mandarin orange
I have a spider problem, and will be adopting a kitten soon. The only essential that repel spider are harmful to cats. I.e. treetea, lavender, citrus. If these were to dry, as in i sprayed them and let it dry, would it still be harmful? If it was diluted would it still be toxic? And if so, what are pesticides i could use that wouldnt harm our kitten?
My puppy got ahold of and I think ate part of a lush massage bar. Ingredients, Cocoa Butter (Theobroma cacao), Shea Butter (Butyrospermum parkii), Perfume, Mango Butter (Mangifera indica), White Chocolate, Fresh Bananas (Musa paradisiaca), Honey (Mel), Peppermint Oil ( Mentha piperita), Vanilla Absolute (Vanilla planifolia), Sweet Orange Oil (Citrus dulcis), *Limonene. Will she be okay?
Hi, I didn't even think about it until it was on my skin, but I started using Lush's Wiccy Magic Muscles massage bar and it has cinnamon and peppermint oil. My cat doesn't seem too bothered by the smell but he licked my skin, and I'm worried I could be poisoning him without realizing it. Are essential oils in lotions fatal to cats, through air and minor ingestion? How diluted are they usually in comparison to diffusers, and is that safe for cats? Should I take him to a vet?
My pup was diagnosed with kennel cough yesterday (7-30-18). She started her anti-biotics the same day. If necessary, what steps do I need to take to sanitize our home and her toys? At what point should I do this to ensure that I am not re-exposing her to the bacteria? After anti-biotic is complete? Maybe once the anti-biotic works its magic a little more?
Hi, I used to use grapefruit and orange essential oil around the house... adding it to mop water, burning it, diffusing it in one of those diffusers that mists it out in water, and spraying it with a spray bottle into the air, on blankets, furniture, on tables to wipe them down with... anything. I had never had cats and didn't know citrus is toxic to them. Now I have cats and I am staying up all night wondering if the oil I used in the past will kill them. I didn't know this when I got the ca
My cat will not stop obsessively scratching the carpet no matter what I do. She is neutered, she will remove caps, she will rip up aluminum foil, I put scratching posts on every single area she scratches and she moves them. I am hopeless right now and trust me i am trying everything I can do so I won't have to declaw her. I'm going to try 1 more thing. I'm going to make a homemade cat deterant spray but I need help deciding what type. Should I make a vinegar based spray, lavender or citrus?
I have a 12 yr. old dog who is healthy except for arthritis which he takes vetprofen, tramadol and gabapentin to help control pain. There are many tick meds on the market and am wondering if there are any tick meds that are safe for him. I found a tick on him recently and am hoping to prevent further findings of those pests. I have read that 2 parts vinegar to 1 part water (with citrus oil for scent) is a tick deterent but am not sure if that will help.
Hi. I had just got a hamster. She was very active when I has bought her. But the next day she started sneezing quite a lot. When I checked the bedding, I found out that it was citrus scented and so I changed it immediately to KAYTEE CLEAN AND COZY. Her sneezing has reduced but it's still there. She doesn't go on her hamster wheel anymore. She just comes out of her hideout to take food and water. She also sleeps in the night. She is a Syrian. Do you know why she is like this? I'd she sick?
Looking for scent my 1 yr kittens will TOTALLY DISLIKE and not go near. Orange or lavender essential oil mixed 10 drops to 1/4 cup or just on cotton ball haven't worked
Im trying to switch to pet safe cleaning products. One that i currently use is called cif power and shine (dont think its available in the US, so im leaving a picture of the ingredients and their function), would you say its safe or not as dangerous as some others? I’ve read posts about people using this near their pets with no problem
