Blue Ribbon Pet Halloween Home Essentials

Leo seems to have swallowed a ribbon. He keeps retching and vomiting water. During the last session of vomiting, I noticed the ribbon in his mouth. He swallowed it back in. I'm wondering if this means that the ribbon has not reached his stomach and whether I can pull it out the next time he retches? He isn't eating or drinking anything currently.

70lb getman shepherd mix suddenly started gulping and swallowing almost as though gagging and then compulsively saught out fiberous items to swalloe (tissues, cotton balls, ribbon). After a few minutes it stopped but he seems uncomfortable (ears back, occasional sudden deep swallowing accompanied by licking/toungue flicking).
