Blue Buffalo Natural Veterinary Diet

If a company such as natural balance has veterinary nutritionalists on staff is that the same as brands like science diet and royal canin? Also I've always though brands like science diet and royal canin are junk can you explain why this is or isn't true?

Recently my vet suggested changing my Golden Doodles food from Blue Buffalo Freedom Chicken recipe to ZD Hills Prescription Diet due to reoccurring ear infections and licking of paws. She thought a digestive and allergy issue. Is there a comparable brand or food that may be a better fit? Although our Blue Buffalo is pricing, this price point for the ZD is not attainable for us to continue. She spoke of hydrolized protein being important but it's not economical either. Thank you!

I have two cats, a 7 year old and an 11 year old. I've been giving them a mix of three types of dry food (Science Diet urinary health, Blue Buffalo healthy aging, and Blue Buffalo Indoor hairball control mature). Is this a good idea to mix these three together in their bowls? I just want them to get the benefits from these products as well and not get tired/develop an allergy from just one type of food constantly. Thank you!

Hi tony has early renal disease and I’ve tried every brand kidney diet that exists and none keep his interest for long. There is a blue buffalo Rx wet kidney diet but no one recommends it!!! Is this is bad brand ? I’m willing to give it a try since it’s a kidney diet. He is currently eating a royal Canin age 12+ Senior diet that is lower in phosphorus and I add a phosphorus binder as well and he loves it. Thx

I have corgis so I’m wanting to get them on a brand of food that helps manage their weight because as of now i feed them on can of blue buffalo wet food and one cup of blue buffalo dry food. My male is now 23 lbs and my female lost a pound so she’s back to 20lbs. I prefer to stick to blue buffalo and grain free, my corgi has an extremely sensitive GI tract let me tell you.

Zeus our 4 month old Rottweiler has had diarrhea for basically his whole life so far on and off. He has had multiple fecal tests ran, given flagyl 3 times, changed his food slowly the vet said he may have been allergic to chicken because he was having diarrhea and very itchy/dandruff. He first was eating Blue Buffalo large breed puppy now he is eating lamb and brown rice natural balance puppy food. Diarrhea came back we gave raw diet and ya has been dewormed multiple times. Out of options. Help

I prefer all natural cat foods. Does anyone make a natural dry cat food that is a Dental Diet?
