Well I personally like Beggin Strips. My dogs love them, and there is no chance of a choking hazard. I never recommend rawhides due to choking and obstruction concerns. Normally I'd recommend pig ears, but I understand there is a salmonella outbreak now with pig ears. I don't do many treats because they really aren't needed.

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! At 9 months of age he is done teething. Excessive chewing of inappropriate things could be due to being a puppy or anxiety. He should have plenty of dog chew toys available. All things of value should be put away. He needs to be watched or leashed to an adult when you are home. When you leave him at home, he should be confined in a laundry room, crate or other safe room with no objects to chew. You may want to sign him up for doggie daycare a few times a week. If he has separation anxiety discuss medications with your Vet. As for the begging that is training. He should be taught to go to his bed when you are eating. Or you can crate him during meals. I recommend basic training classes as trained dogs that listen are better dogs at home and in public. I wish you the best!

You are right, the color could be from the beggin strips. And if Penny has never had them before, this could be the cause of her vomiting. Stop giving them to her, and I will give you a home remedy to see if that helps. Feed her a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in her normal diet. If she vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, she will need to see a vet right away. I hope this helps!

At eight weeks of age, I wouldn't give treats just yet unless you are training Blueberry. I like Beggin Strips. As for food, he should be fed three times a day, once in the morning, afternoon, and evening. Each food has a different daily requirement, so look at the instructions on his bag of food, and divide the daily requirement into three equal portions. Best of luck.

Thank you for submitting your question. Congratulations on your new dog! Indestructible toys are going to be best until you see how aggressive of a chewer he or she will be. Young puppies are not as destructive as older puppies and adult dogs. You may want to try a variety of products to see what this dog will like best. Kongs, puzzle toys and Nylabones are a good variety. You just want to make sure that pieces cannot be bit off of any toy. Nylabones can be hard on the teeth if the dog chews too aggressively. As far as treats, start with peices of the dog's regular kibble. There will be a lot of stress with moving to a new home. Additional diet changes can lead to diarrhea. I hope this information helps!
