My dog has always had a lower pitched bark, but for two days now her bark has been high pitched. It doesn’t sound raspy but it’s clearly higher pitch than her normal bark. She does like to bark at passerby’s through the window when I’m not home. Is this concerning or has she just gotten tired ?
What does it may mean when your dog loses his ability to bark sometimes? For example: bark bark bark then he can’t get the bark out.

My I noticed that my dogs bark sometimes sounds like it cracks recently. It’s been a couple of weeks now. He can still bark but his high pitched bark is now cracking. He’s still eating and acting normally but his bark has never sounded like that before. The only thing I can think of is a a few weeks ago he swallowed something while we were on a walk that could’ve been a chicken bone. He was also wearing a cone for a few weeks due to a hot spot not sure if that could’ve hurt his throat though.
Hi I was away on vacation and I just picked up my dog from this kennel. As I got home I realized my dog had this weird bark he can barely bark as loud as he usually does. I have 14 yr old staff border collie cross unneutered who has never been comfy with other dogs sniffing his bum. I know this is a polite way for dogs to greet each other, so what could have made Boo-boo so uncomfortable with this.?
