Hello, sorry to hear about Aspen. It does indeed sound like he is in the right where he could be developing some feline asthma. This disease can be exacerbated by environmental irritants such as aerosolized sprays, candles, smoking, pollen, and dust. Diagnosis is typically confirmed with an x-rays and by sampling the lungs as well as making sure that Aspen does not have lung worms with a fecal exam. If Aspen is having a difficult time breathing, then he needs to be seen by her veterinarian immediately. Medications to treat this disease typically involve antibiotics and likely steroids. Other wise, practice avoiding any environmental allergen at home, and don't expose him to any strenuous exercise of high stress situations. Hope this helps and best of luck.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! From the pictures it looks like Aspen has hives. This is usually an allergic reaction and I would suspect some kind of bug bit her causing the reaction. You can give her Benadryl every 8 hours for the reaction. If it’s not helping, you should take her to the vet for stronger medications. She should no longer be nursing but it is safe for the babies. Also, the reaction isn’t contagious so I wouldn’t worry about them. Good luck and kisses to Aspen and her babies!

Poor Aspen. He is obviously very sensitive to some type of allergen which that be grass, dust, tree, chicken/beef, fleas (even if you aren't seeing any), and more. i would recommend to talk to your vet about apoquel or a course of steroids. Both of these are great for allergies. Apoquel is preferred as it is safer long term. Also I would recommend a prescription hypoallergenic diet for a minimum of 12 weeks to see if it helps his skin. When you do a food trial you cannot give him any treats or human food. You also need to make sure his hesrtworm prevention is hypoallergenic. I hope this helps! Allergies can be frustrating but it is important to figure out how to manage them as they cannot be cured.

I am sorry that Aspen has developed a bump or lump on her skin. Thank you for providing pictures. From the pictures you have sent the "bump" appears to be a skin growth. There are several types off masses that can grow in the skin of dogs such as cysts, lipomas, and even cancers. Some are benign and some are malignant, so careful observation is important, as well as having a vet examine it if you are concerned. Since you only noticed the lump recently, I would continue to monitor it for growth, ulceration, changes in texture or color. Measure the mass with a ruler so you can compare its growth in a couple weeks time. Rapidly growing masses are more concerning. You can also try applying a cool compress and cleaning with warm salt water once daily if it needs it. If you notice any changes or rapid growth either take Aspen in for a vet appointment or post another question here on the forum. Hi, my dog's nose has turned pink inside the bottom edge of the nostril. My vet suggested sinusitis. In researching, it looks like aspergillosis and now I'm worried. I don't see discoloration associated with sinusitis, but do in the aspergillosis pic
Thanks for using Boop by Petco! I would agree with your veterinarian. Aspergillosis will usually cause a marked nasal discharge and in most cases also nose bleeds and it does not sound like those are present. Hopefully this resolves and Aster does well which is likely.
