I have an aquatic red ear slider turtle. He is very lethargic and his legs are swollen. He hasn't been eating. What should I do?
My male betta seems to be ill and I can’t find an aquatic vet. I think he has tail rot, but I’m not sure what else.
Hello! I have a 3-gallon tank at home that I previously used for my betta fish. Now I am looking to purchase another fish (possibly a few fish) but I am not quite sure what my options are. What types of fish would you suggest for a 3-gallon tank and how many of each kind I could get. Also if I do end up getting a betta, are there any other aquatic animals I could place with him or not? Thanks for your time and help, Tori
Hi! I have an aquatic dwarf frog that I'm watching for a friend out of town. When he was dropped off at my house he seemed swollen on the sides of his abdomen and over the past two days he has not eaten and his stomach looks firm and protruding. Even his back looks swollen. He has an appointment Thursday but I'd like advice keeping him alive till then. Oh hes also struggling to surface for air as if hes weighed down. The tank is less than 12 inch deep. I moved him to a smaller tank.
I have recently found out that bloodworms are a good treat for my aquatic animals even for one that I got today I tried feeding bloodworms and it didn’t seem interested I gave some to my current fish and they weren’t interested either these bloodworms came out of a bottle that you would typically put any fish food in. Am I suppose to prepare them somehow or are they just not interested
I have one fish a dwarf gourami, one small aquatic frog, and two pelcos. My dwarf gourami is missing almost all of his upper lip it started out with a small cut and now most of it is gone, he has been eating fine and moving around fine and acts perfectly normal. Then I come home today and see a fairly big bump under his eye. I have no idea what’s happening to him there’s no other fish for him to fight so I’m not sure how he’s hurting himself and I’m scared now for him with that big bump.
Hello, can you help me identify this plant please, the people at the store didn't know the species. Also is my aquarium good
I'm doing a project for school about fish and here are some questions I have: What kind of fish is easiest to take care of? What size tank should someone start out with? What are some things people don't know about fish? What are the most common reasons that fish die? What do you wish people knew about fish? Any other information?
how do I change the ammonia, nitrates in my aquiarium
We are new to having aquariums, we really didn't realize so many things played a factor with the water. We currently have a 10 gallon tank but want to increase to a 29 gallon tank. We currently buy gallons of water but with the 29 gallon tank we really don't want to have to do that. We have well water with a salt filter. My levels from to tap was nitrate 10, nitrite 0, hardness 0, chlorine 0, alk 100, ph 7.. is my tap water safe even with the salt filter.
Is it necessary to test the Ph levels and all the other things for the fish tank water?
