The stand is fine. It is a bummer that it is only rated for 400lbs but I can reinforce it myself. This review is for the horrible petco website with predatory adds making you think you are signing up for petco rewards but instead charging you a subscription fee when this was never explained. This is ridiculous and PetCo needs to stop this.

I do not recommend this stand. The pieces came out of the box with corners damaged. The front door doesn't fit. The metal plate that is supposed to hold the door to the magnet latch didn't have the holes drilled through. So I had to finish drilling the holes. The directions are vague and has been copied so much, the pictures are faded out. Overall, this is not a great product.

I needed a stand, this works, but I wish I would have bought something different. The box said "wood" and it is not actual wood. It is pressboard. The holes were not drilled correctly so I had a little issue getting the door on. The edges were all scuffed/scratched so it looks like crap. I was tempted to load it up already put together and return it. I did get it at a discount because it was in the wrong place. If I would have paid full price, I would have returned it before putting it together. Not worth the current price of $229.

We bought this stand in 2017 for the 40 gallon breeder tank. The aquarium is filled with 33 gallons of water for a Southern Painted Turtle. There is plenty of room inside for the Penn Plax Model 700 and supplies.

Bought this to go along with the 40 Gallon Breeder tank I bought for my axolotl. Easy to setup and directions are detailed. I see other people are mentioning scratches. Mine came this way too, but they all rubbed out, so no worries there.

I bought this yesterday. Directions easy to follow, my 12 y/o built it in about 1 1/2 hours. It seems to be sturdy. I would have shopped around but needed something that was in stock quickly. I saw another for $70 less same company but not in stocks, I am not sure of the difference between the 2. I am disgusted however because all of the ends are scuffed up. I would expect for the price the wood would have been in better condition. Very disappointing.

For the price, I would hope the manufacturer would at least put a piece of paper between the boards in the box. Nope! Absolutely no packaging or protective material whatsoever. Every board was scratched on both sides. I couldn't exchange it for another because I needed to set up my tank that day (can't move a 40 gallon after it's full) and because it wouldn't matter. The next one would be the same way. Generally speaking it's a decent stand and I like the storage (a shelf would be nice, though) but for $200+ it shouldn't be damaged on purchase. Frustrating.
