Thank you for submitting your question regarding your kitten. Amoxicillin is a medication with a wide dosing range. I can understand your confusion with the package though. I would recommend following your veterinarian's dosing for now, but be sure to follow up with the prescribing doctor to double check. You should be able to call the office and have someone check for you. This will give you piece of mind. I hope this information helps!

That would depend on the underlying cause for this treatment. Generally speaking not less than 4 consecutive days, but treatment may be needed even for several weeks. Please repost your question with more precise informations about the diagnosis.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! If the kittens are 11-12 weeks old, they shouldn't still be nursing. They are old enough to be on solid kitten food now. Either way, amoxicillin is not toxic to young kittens. Kisses to Susan!

Hi, amoxicillin can be used in kittens but how do you give it ? I have witnessed some owners doing more harm then good by administering oral medications to kittens. I would recommend to see your vet so they can be started with a more effective, safe and fast acting injection and then you can continue at home with some oral drops for example. The dosage in kittens would be 10 mg per pound for 5-7 days. Hope this helps,

Without examining your cat we cannot legally advise you give her prescription antibiotics. Also unless the antibiotic is liquid it would be impossible to dose a tiny kitten safely, and if it is an old liquid it is likely expired as it only lasts for 10 days. Not all respiratory infections require antibiotics as some are viral. I would make an appointment for your kitty for a veterinary exam.
