Do I need to give my cat probiotic? I am afraid the cat may lose appetite.

Just got a pet rat and she seems to be showing respiratory infection symptoms and fish mox don’t seem to be in stock online nor near me. What is another solution because I don’t have a vet to approve or submit a prescription for her. (I have two rats)

What if my pet doesn't have a veterinarian to be able to approve for the prescription, but I know they need the antibiotics because of their symptoms of having an infection. Especially a bladder infection that requires a thing of antibiotics.

      1. It is illegal to obtain antibiotics without a prescription, and trying to diagnose your pet without having diagnostics done by a vet can be dangerous. Symptoms of a UTI can also mimic symptoms of bladder stones, which would require a change in diet, special meds, and possibly surgery - NOT antibiotics. Throwing antibiotics at an issue that is not an infection will just prolong your dog's suffering. Even if it is an infection, you still need a vet to get antibiotics. There is no way around it. Please be responsible and find a vet.

Is 125mg of Clavamox tabs ok for a cat weighing approx.18 lbs?

      1. Yes it is. 1/2 in the morning and 1/2 at night with food. I crush them and mix with a tiny bit of water and use a syringe given how hard it is to give cats pills. Just make sure they eat something. Or you can crush and mix with tuna water or wet food as long as you think they will eat it all.
