Bought this on a whim for my dogs to try out (mainly as a topper), all of them scarfed it down and didn't even leave the veggies! Smelled super good too, like something I'd eat, will buy again.

Yes, I recommend this product.

This is a cod mixture and my dogs loved it!! No preparation required. Let it thaw and good to go. The ingredients are well thought out and healthy. They have so many different kinds to try. Feeding portions are listed on the package. You can use this as a primary source of food, toppings, or treats.

Yes, I recommend this product.

My pickiest eater loves this!

My pickiest eater, Teddy, a 13 year old Lakeland Terrier, just loves this mix! I was skeptical because I make them food to add to their kibble all the time and I know what they like, or I thought I did! I think he liked the fish, I liked that it doesn't smell like fish! None of that stinky, canned dog food smell at all! More importantly, he loved it! Can't wait to get more for him!

Yes, I recommend this product.

My Dog Loved It!

My dog loved this product! He’s a picky eater as is so I was really hoping he would enjoy this and eat it, but he did just that and ate every bit! This is so much faster than cooking/preparing food his food myself which I occasionally have to do; but when you have a busy schedule it’s a whole lot more convenient to just thaw and serve. No prep time, clean up, or dirty dishes was also a huge plus! It has real ingredients and was very fresh (and even looked good enough to be people food)! I liked how versatile it can be served, as it can be used as a meal, topper, or mid day snack/treat. Overall he loved this product and was very pleased with his change in diet!

Yes, I recommend this product.

This is about to be our go2 for our Prince … he loved it and did not waste no time cleaning his plate . We loved it cause it’s all natural and not can food. I was a little scared of trying something different because I thought it’s all the same . Thanks to petco sampling program we got to try it for free … we will definitely be adding it to Prince diet.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I received this product for free from the Spotted by Petco sampling program in exchange for my honest review. My dog could not get enough of this Whole Hearted Fresh Recipes Fish and Vegetables Recipe packet. He is a fish lover and I think he could smell fresh fish in this so he immediately went for it. I like that it looks like something I would eat.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Love wholehearted

I’ve been using wholehearted for 2-3 years now, it’s the only food all 5 of my dogs agree on! First time trying this fresh food and it was alright. I understand it’s fresh but it’s kind of pricy for the size bag you get. The food itself looked good, it gave my dog watery poop, not full diarrhea but slightly. I used it as a topper and it was perfect for that. Would recommend trying at least one or twice to see how your dog likes it.

Yes, I recommend this product.

My Dogs Love It, But Not My First Choice

Kerin

My dogs think it's delicious (see photos). I like that it is made from human grade food, but I'm not thrilled that there are only 4 actual foods in the ingredients list and one of them is peas. I prefer to continue to feed my pups another brand of frozen, human grade food that has more nutrition and fewer calories than this one (and no peas), but I would still feel okay about feeding them this food in a pinch, and they would be totally fine with it, too!

No, I do not recommend this product.

My dog while healthy has a small liver so we have been feeding him JFFD Fish and Sweet potato however we have been having issues with the quality. Can you tell me the CRUDE FAT MAX percentage of the FISH and VEGGIE fresh frozen?

  1. Hi GizmosFood, Good day! Unfortunately, we only have information for the minimum percentage. Thanks

Our Frenchie is an active 2-year-old...he weighs about 29 pounds and is a perfect weight. How much should I be feeding him of the fish recipe? What is the actual protein amount %? Our vet is worried that there may be too much actual protein in the food.

  1. Hi JanisR. Good day! We recommend following the feeding guide in one of the smaller photos on the product page. Crude Protein (Min.) 6.5%. Thanks.

Is the cod wild caught or factory farmed?

    1. Hi Taqwa, Good day! The fish is wild caught icelandic cod. Thanks,

what is the protein percentage and the phosphorous percentage on a dry matter basis please?

    1. Hi cakelady, Good day! The phosphorus percentage on a dry matter basis is 1.45%. Thanks,

    What is the sodium content?

    1. Hi Doxie63, Good day! The Sodium content is 0.77%. Thanks,

I feed JFFD and love it and this product looks very similar in quality so I would like to rotate between the two. The serving size is indicated in cups. What is the serving size in grams for a 37 lb dog?

    1. Hi Valued Guest, Good day! We just use the simple conversation of 8oz=1cup. So for 66oz you have ~8 ¼ cups. So for a 37 lb dog, the 40 lbs adult feeding guide would suggest 4 cups (32 oz), or about ½ of the 66 oz package. That would be 907 grams (32 oz). Thanks,

    Is this product gluten-free?

    1. Hi Jason1234, Good day! Yes the product is gluten free. The same kitchen produces food with gluten though so it would not be certified gluten free. Thanks,

    How many cups per 66oz?

    1. Hi Laceeeeeeee, Good day! With 66oz you have approximately 8 ¼ cups. Thanks,
