I am trying to help a 13-year-old cat put on weight. He has never liked wet food but I remember helping an older cat with health problems to get some calories by feeding A/D wet food. My flat-coat has had liquid B.M.'s for the last 7-10 days. My vet has prescribed Proviable-Forte, a digestive health supplement. He is showing no improvement after 2 days. He still has a good appetite but throws up any little bit of chicken meat that I give him to help him eat the paste. He seems to keep his kibble down but drinks lots of water. My Pomeranian is 11 yrs old and suffers from irritable bowel, seizures, and constipation. He is on a limited ingredient lamb and brown rice diet. He takes phenobarb bid and Metamucil bid, 2 hrs post phenobarb. The Metamucil is the kind with real sugar not artificial sweeteners, but it does have orange flavor. Lately he has been regurgitating small amounts of mostly clear liquid out his nose. I am not sure what is causing this. His appetite is great and he seems fine otherwise.
