Peace of Mind with Cat Has Crystals

Cat Momster

I live in a region where the local water is hard rather than soft, meaning full of minerals. Sadly, this, along with a diet of dry food, led to crystals in my cat. Using Cat Water solves the problem of mineral heavy water plus the proper water pH helps to balance my kitty’s body chemistry to hopefully prevent a too alkaline system that contributes to the formation of these nasty, life threatening crystals moving forward.

Questions

Hello, my cat has a high PH level. Will giving him this water help level it out again

  1. CATWATER helps promote an ideal urinary pH. CATWATER is a perfectly balanced water for your cats because it is between the pH of 6.2 and 6.4 which helps to promote a normal rate of acidity in their urine and maintain a healthy urinary tract. It is ozonated and has a mild level of acidity which encourages your cat to drink more, since cats are taste sensitive when it comes to water. By giving your cat CATWATER it will help increase their water consumption.

Can a cat that does not have urinary issues or crystals drink this water?

  1. CATWATER is suitable for all cats, even those with no history of urinary troubles, as a preventative measure. However, if you have questions about your cat’s specific health situation, you should always consult with your veterinarian before introducing anything new into their diet.

Can cat water cause diarrhea?

  1. No it doesn't..but it maintains a cats urinary tract healthy

If I used this water in a cat fountain that has a filter in it will it affect the ph?

  1. That is a good question, my opinion is no. I think filtered water is recommended not tap water.

Can dogs drink this?

  1. No. . The alkaline level in this water is 6 to 6.5..because it more neutral and preventing cats from getting kidney stone..dogs levels should be over 7.5. Their digestive system are different .. when giving your pets tap water which is full of contaminate..will eventually give them some medical issues..

How often does the water need to be changed?

  1. Hello - If your cat prefers or is use to fresh water daily, then, yes, continue to change the water daily. Another recommendation is to make CATWATER ice cubes and use one cube to refresh the water once or twice a day. Thank you!

Hi,  I am wondering if I have a dog in my house. Is that ok for dog if he drinks cat water? Thank you.

  1. Yes. The Cat Water has less chemicals, and was designed to encourage a cat to drink more water. Most cats have a low thirst drive, and obtain most of their water needs from their food. Even if you feed them "wet" cat food, they still need fresh water for their urinary tract. My cat drinks more water now since I've switched from tap water to Cat Water. I see no hard if your dog drinks it. Your cat; however, might not like your dog drinking out of their water bowl.

As this water is processed through the digestion system isn't it altered by stomach and bile acids, I'm wondering if the end result is going to be "more" acid and cause oxalate stones?

  1. Hello, We conducted extensive testing of CATWATER with cats and found that, after drinking CATWATER over several weeks, we tested urine pH and found it to be at the targeted levels that CATWATER sets out to meet. For information regarding your cat’s specific situation, we recommend you consult with your vet. Thank you!

Cat Water: are the containers BPA Free? is the water sourced from Canadian spring water? where is the water processed and bottled? what is the name of the manufacturer? is this water with this PH approved by veterinary specialist?

  1. Hello, The bottles used for CATWATER are eco-friendly. The infinitely recycled bottle, as well as handle, and cap are made of PET 1 plastic. PET 1 plastic is not manufactured from, nor contain BPA. The water used in CATWATER is drawn from the Appalachian mountain chain located in Quebec. CATWATER is manufactured in Canada. Ideally, cat urine must have a pH level ranging between 6.2 and 6.4. CATWATER was especially created to offer the perfect pH environment to fulfill specific cat needs by offering a lightly acidic water with a pH between 6.2 and 6.4. CATWATER was clinically proven in a 2019 University of Montreal - School of Veterinary Medicine study to reduce minerals in the urinary tract by up to 50%. Thank you!

I am pleased to read that this water can be used in either a bowl or a cat drinking fountain. If in the cat fountain, do I use the filter as I would if it were tap water? Thanks in advance for an answer!

  1. Hello, No, using a water fountain will not alter the water’s pH. However, the use of activated charcoal filters or dental tabs can cause a small variation in the pH level, but it is insignificant. Thank you!
